I typically remove the iKamper when not in use. I’ve got a hoist setup in my garage that makes it super easy to remove and I just back in to park while it’s suspended in the garage.
the box is actually a harbor freight Apache box. Great deal compared to pelican. It’s typically used for my...
Hey guys! Been a long time since I've updated this. Truck is doing great, with minor wear and tear items needing replaced. Currently has around 88K miles and going strong. It's mainly just been getting used, but I did recently upgrade my headlights to Akron aftermarket lights, and recently got a...
Thanks! I was up on sugarloaf mountain on the Switzerland trail. I think I’m really going to like winter camping, just need to make sure I have my gear dialed in.
what are you using for tent heat while sleeping?
Made it up to the hills again to slowly get some experience with colder camping. it was great! Was able to have a fire both during the evening for dinner and again in the morning for breakfast. Ran the little buddy heater for about 30 minutes before going to bed and was pretty comfortable all...
Thanks! I’ve been very happy with the Ikamper so far. Super compact and easy to set up and break down. I will say my 2 complaints so far are the included mattress is rather firm and the empty cavity space does not allow room for much bedding when closed. I have a sleeping pad and pillow in there...
Thanks! The lower center of gravity was a huge deciding factor being that this is a daily driver.
I also purchased some new rhino bars for the cab to mount the awning. Tested it out this past weekend and I love the setup. Slowly getting dialed in.
yep ive got a tyger cover that works great with the Billie bars. It’s definitely a lot less space without the topper but it forces me to bring only what’s needed. So far space has not been an issue, still just working on organization.
Well phase II is under way. Loving the new setup. I’ve had the tent for 3 weeks and have 5 nights in it already. So far love it and this setup is still lighter than the topper alone!
Well no turning back now! I decided its time to change things up for 2021! As my daughter is now a bit older and ready for some longer camping trips, its time to get a better family camping set-up dialed in. I am going to sell the topper (so if anyone is interested hit me up)! I've realized that...
This thread was the push I needed to go 235, but I realized I never put any pics up to share. 235/85/16 General Grabber ATX's. Love the tires so far, have had them for about a year.
Hey guys!! Hope the new year is off to a good start for everyone! So I realized it's been forever since I have updated this. No new major mods for the Fronty, other than using it and exploring. Below are the current mods to date and a couple updated pics. Still love this truck and it has been...
WOW, so sad to see the Fronty go! It was an amazing inspiration for my own build. I'm sure the adventures will continue with the new rig though! Congrats!
