Borrow: Anyone have a Mac OS 10.6.8 disc?

I have an older iMac I need to get wiped and reset to factory defaults. Unfortunately, it's too old for Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks and I haven't been able to track down the 10.6.8 disc that came with it. Anyone have a Mac OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) disc I can borrow? I'll cover shipping both ways.

Subaru owners: Let's see your expedition rigs!

Hmm... guess that answers my question on if I'm nuts for even considering towing The Mule behind the Foz. :sombrero:

Overland worthy belts - What is your preferred one?

Another good looking belt, nice and slim. You do loose the load bearing capacity to gain that low profile though, I noticed they actually caution against using it as a backup harness. I've only had my Wilderness for 3 years, but I haven't had a problem with it coming loose yet.

Overland worthy belts - What is your preferred one?

I'm fond of the Wilderness tactical belt for much the same reasons, and moved up to it from the 5.11 (also a nice belt). The Wilderness does stay shut better and has far more sizing options. The buckle also doesn't poke out as bad from under an untucked shirt...

Photography advice: What am I doing wrong?

The S95/100 is still my all-time favorite travel camera. Printable quality (just), with a no fuss size and ease of use.

Photography advice: What am I doing wrong?

There's nothing wrong with a point and shoot, as long as it's a decent one. The shooter, and post, are more important than the hardware used. (for reference, most of my trip reports and gear reviews were done with a point and shoot until late-2012)

Photography advice: What am I doing wrong?

I'd venture a guess that this is true more often than not. A lot of it is in control and composition, but much is done in post. Some of the "purists" may disagree, but Photoshop (or other) is as essential a part of digital photography as the darkroom was to film photography. Here's the same set...

First Expedition: Mojave Road East to West in a JKUR with an IH Scout

I'd feel comfortable up to about two feet with a firm surface. The intake is currently right around 27-28", though I might be able to temporarily squeeze another 6" out of it since the throttle body points straight up at the hood. Thanks for the tip, I'll keep a tarp handy just in case...

First Expedition: Mojave Road East to West in a JKUR with an IH Scout

Indeed. I suppose if it comes to it I could speed up to around 60 and glide across the water on the skid plates (kidding). :)

First Expedition: Mojave Road East to West in a JKUR with an IH Scout

Thanks Scott. Hopefully it dries out a little more before we get to the crossing, 30" is going to be pushing it for the vehicle we'll be in...

First Expedition: Mojave Road East to West in a JKUR with an IH Scout

Great photos and a nice write-up. It looks like perfect weather down there right now, we'll be running the 'Road ourselves the end of the month. I'm guessing that Scout has 35" tire? About how deep did the worst of the water crossings look when you were there?

Looking for the ultimate offroad concept

The 2004 Land Rover Discovery is undisputeably the ultimate off-pavement vehicle. :jump: If we're sticking to small vehicles, I'm quite fond of the Jimny. With rock crawling out of the equation, the taller vehicles in Subaru's line-up could also be in the running (capable, reliable...

2004 Land Rover Disco expedition camper conversion

Cool idea, I'm excited to see how it turns out. I've often wondered what the truck would be like with a little more height.
