I have a shell on my truck as well as the Decked drawer system in it. So far I really like the setup. The shell keeps everything dry and the Decked gives a big flat surface to sleep and keep gear on.

Glad it's working out for you. I work in IT and actually work mainly on very large hard drive arrays (think 300+ drives per). Similar to your photo, this is my favorite picture to show people how far we've come.
The IBM 350 was IBM's first Hard Drive, offering 5MB of storage with a weight of...
A good ground tent makes a huge difference. I split time between my camper shell and my ground tent and have an REI Half Dome 2. It's a smaller tent (2 man), but I can get it setup or torn down in about 15 minutes. All I have is a footprint (not always needed), 3 poles, tent, and fly. The bag...
Allegheny National Forest
Had a great time out in PA last weekend exploring a bit of the Alleghenies. I've been camping all around Ohio and Kentucky, and have wanted to get over there for a while. One of the nice things about now living in NEO is ANF is only 2-3 hours away from me depending on...
Sounds like you got quite the deal on the suspension! I'll probably be going with Bilstein 5100s or 6112s up front; the fox kit or something else high end that like would be awesome, but I can't justify the price for my uses. Going to run with just the front for a little while I think and see...
Thanks! Yeah after 6 months or so with the cap I really like it, but it's gotta be right for how you use the truck. I rarely have something in the back that causes issues so it works for me.
And yeah knew it was LSD, not sure what I was thinking when I typed Locker.
You done tires or a level...
The two cards you linked are UHS3 cards, while your current card is UHS1 (UHS3>UHS1). So the two new cards will be faster; but realistically not enough to notice. Samsung rates the two cards you linked at around 95MB/s and the SanDisk you have is at 80MB/s. You're tablet won't be reading quick...
Ram 1500s also have the same disclaimer in the manual, those warnings only drop for Ram if you are in a 3/4+ Ton. Think it has more to do CYA, payload ratings, and a few people abusing the warranty after their camper caused damage.
Dog Platform Updates
The rear seat platform is another step closer to being done. I ended up deciding against the carpet as I was worried about durability as well as my abilities to make it look good when it was finished. I went with a DIY bed liner instead. After looking around Raptor Liner...
Looks like only iOS at the moment. But I saw the below on their website.
"Already have the old Gaia GPS? You get an extended free trial with the new app – up to two years based on purchase date. The more recently you bought Gaia GPS, the longer the free usage period, on a sliding scale...

I haven't heard of any issues with the fuel systems. Early on (14) there was a bad batch of oil coolers that failed and some DEF injector issues, but those have been corrected. There are some low end failures; no official numbers from FCA but the consensus seems to be around 1% failure rate, so...
Since you are talking in the next year or two, Ford should have their F150 out with a 3.0L diesel. You could also consider a used Ram EcoDiesel (or new if the EPA issues are sorted out). Both of those will have extremely similar fuel economy to the Colorado diesel.
Personally I prefer full size...
Yeah I knew those were around but with the short planning time I wasn't able to get those in. Went the easy route and stayed at Hope both nights. I'll take a look in the sub-forum; might have to go back equipped with a better route. I did want to make that trip but unfortunately was busy that...
Yeah it's a very solid mount. I really like that it doubles up on the phone and radio mount. Only downside is all the pieces and parts ran close to $100.
I didn't want to drill my roof either and actually tried a fender mount first. The bracket I used did not fit very well at all and had a lot...
Zaleski / Hocking Hills
Made it out this past weekend, although we did miss out on the Alleghenies as planned. I haven't had a chance to make it out that way before and had a pretty solid trip planned out, but with the foretasted rain we decided to put that trip on hold. I'm on call every 3...
Yup, no one has programmed the software to work with it yet. I was pretty bummed since I have configs made up for my HTs in CHIRP and it's easy to copy and past between. You basically can't copy and paste to iCom's software so I have to program the two independently.
Figured since I was...
I really like my 2730a. The display is probably the nicest out there for a dual band mobile other than radios twice the price. The only complaint I have is that the radio isn't compatible with CHIRP. All of my other radios are and I didn't realize that the iCom wasn't until I received it. Their...
