It just occurred to me that I could share my method of spare oil filter storage. It doesn't work for every size, but I've used one pound-ish coffee cans, well cleaned, to keep oil filters dry and dust free for years. It works perfect for Wix 51515 sized (Ford FL1A) filters, and many others.

Go buy your own and you can stop being mad at her. :)

I've found that doing the work of picking up the supplies and packing the camper is the most effective way to convince a lady to go. If all she has to do is hand you a duffel and get in, she's pretty likely to want to go. Being a good cook and pampering her a bit during the trip doesn't hurt...

Next time you're at the range, take a newspaper and a plastic bag. drape the newspaper around the revolver and take a shot. The bag is for picking up the multitude of pieces..... And practice fire safety- have some water available.

Or any other revolver, for that matter. They all leak flamefrom the cylinder gap. Some more than others.

I'd rather hunt with an M16 than use it for a battle rifle, since a jammed battle rifle can kill you. A hunting rifle with nothing in the chamber until pointed at the target can't. But I'm old school. The last battle rifle I liked was the M14. And I hunt with it (an M1A) still. :sombrero:

Ditto. I had one of each until I filled the larger one at a gas station (while fueling the truck) and forgot that I put it on top the tire. I paid, and drove over it, but it didn't burst. I'd say they're durable enough. Lesson learned? put the darned fuel bottle away immediately after you fill it.

Depends on the size and how bright it's burning. Mine is advertised to burn 16 hours. Most will burn more than long enough to get through a weekend. I use a cardboard tube that just holds its diameter, with a piece of foam in the bottom, and cardboard over the foam, then the lantern goes in...
