Thanks for all the great info, one is still near the top of my list! Going to ride out my 540i until something breaks that is beyond repairing (on a 2k dollar vehicle) and then move into a newer, nicer vehicle like the LR3 :)

I was thinking like belts, water pump, thermostat - ie regular maintenance type stuff. Plugs/wires etc. You bring up a good point though about LR specific components.

I like the idea of getting off the shelf parts for a Ford motor at any AutoZone/Pep Boys etc The V6 is high on my list for a next vehicle.

I would happily drive one, for my uses I think it would be great. My pockets are not deep enough for a new one though...

Will we get it in the states?
