Well , here you go Folks a Video of using my recovery tracks in a sandy river bed. I've left a long lead in to the video as it shows a good example of the front diff centre working (also supplied by Alan). I could have driven around this soft patch as you will see by the other tyre tracks but...
Well the day is here. My sister (Candy) turned up this afternoon and we are of to Townsville tomorrow and will be leaving there on Monday the 10th to head to the top. All going well we will do a trip report in 5 or 6 weeks.

Myself, I'm of the opinion that there is something else going on. Do the wheels spin true on the vehicle when it is jacked up.
Should never have happened. Got to be another problem.

Not absolutely sure but yes I believe in the same time frame. I knew of two others that were in use at the same time as my brother's on pineapple farms used for hauling one ton pine bins around. These were in the area south of Gympie so there may have been even more in the Nambour area.

Yes I air down and up regularly and have never had a problem. You can't put the beads that I'm using in through the valve stem and have to break a bead to put them in. There is also a special valve available that has a filter end on it that is suppose to stop even "tyre sand" from being a...
I'm seeing no marking on the inside of my aluminium rims as centrifugal force holds them out in the tyre. The only time that they may hit the rim is when we are stopping and then I believe that will still stay out there as the wheel is slowing and just grouping together. I'm seeing a lot more...
It is the amount that you put in and not the brand that makes the difference. Recommendation is 1oz per 10lbs of tyre or part there of (72lb tyre gets 8ozs). But and there is always a but if your rim is a long way out of balance you may need more and if it's warped then nothing is going to...
