I asked Jeff at Deaver for 1.5" lift with 500lbs in bed on Addison's springs, which should have basically been a beefed up G57, so I don't know why its so low, but we are working on figuring it out

I don't recall exactly but I think it can swing 30 degrees forward, but it is actually a benefit of this design because the shackle cannot pop forward

Great, thank you. I know that the center to center distance from front hanger bolt hole to shackle hanger pivot hole is 59.5". Given that info, the stock shackle should lay pretty flat at droop.

These trucks are a great platform, simple, tough, reliable and easy to work on. I think you should keep that truck together, drive it for however long it suits you and if/when you sell it, you'll have one of the lowest mileage examples and get a good buck for it.

Other Tacoma owners have found that same clunk noise in the same scenario of backing up or out of their driveway and tracked it down to loose leaf spring u-bolts. The Tacoma manual calls out a rediculously low 37 ft-lbs on these u bolts. I recommend you check those and tighten them to about 80...
