ARB wiring is fine. No idea on venting requirements, my fridge lives in the back of my SUV. I guess when the doors are closed and windows are up, engine off, its not vented. Gets hot here in the summer, but not Phoenix hot.
There is no kit that includes cam/crank seals. There is some debate on if the NTN Hydraulic tensioner included in the Aisin kit (TKM003) is OEM or not. I believe it is, but not 100% certain. National and Timken seals are OE quality and available from Rock Auto.
Wait until mid 2022 if you can. Chip shortage has hampered every manufactures ability to build new vehicles and therefore all used vehicle pricing has skyrocketed. Used vehicle pricing won't stay high (relative) once the chip shortage clears up. ie: if you pay $45k now for a used LC that in...
Grab a Group 31 Trojan or Deka AGM (Duracell). Great life. probably 100aH, The Duracell from Batteries Plus have a 4 year replacement warranty. That is going to be about it for warranty length on batteries. Like others have said - for best life any lead acid battery only likes a discharge...
There is a reason that there are Toyota CV replacements. They are so much weaker than Monteros (plus there are a LOT more Toyotas imported over the years). Except the LC - those are pretty good.
When I had a RTT (soft sided) I shoved it up on top of my rack several time by my self. I'm short, truck was tall, it sucked every minute. Sold the tent (and that truck). Mostly sold the tent because I hated the amount of effort required closing it up on top of the truck. Damp mornings and...
Unpacked mine last night. It is PU coated ripstop polyester - much thicker material than I imagined. Very happy with it. Machining up a couple brackets to be able to attach it to my popup the way I want it. Well worth $99.
No doubt the fabric is different. ARB uses PU coated poly/cotton 300GSM and the NAPA awning uses polyester ripstop 220GSM. Different, but not sure about 1 being better than the other.
You are welcome. I bought one last week, well worth the price. I've read in another area of Expo that they are better constructed than the ARB version. I can't compare because I've never owned the ARB version. Planning to install it on one of my trucks tonight.
