A great day at the show!

Goal Zero is also working on a charge controller that is a stand alone unit to be wired in between any solar source and a vehicles battery.
I saw it at OR and it is a clean simple design although the unit I saw was a prototype ready for production.
It should be available this spring.

ExPo would like to introduce Expedition Overland as a supporting sponsor of our forum community.

Hi Pete,
What are the details of the situation?
I would recommend trying PM, email and phone.
Then ask if anyone has had any contact with "name" but do it without implicating or accusing, just say you are trying to reach them.
We have very little control over the buying and selling actions of...

I carry two Rotopax on the back of my adventure bike, one gallon of gas and one gallon of water. They are mounted horizontally and I have never had a leak issue even with the fuel can expanding in 100+ degree heat.

We had just pulled off the blacktop after about 700 miles and started our way up a very tame but rocky trail.
Whump! and the Chaser was nose to the ground with no hitch pin to be found!
At first I thought that style hitch pin was cool but I...
Hey Rob,
I can get you the roof and rack measurements.
I need them anyway in preparation for a rack and tent.
We plan on using a Thule system, towers and bars, to mount a tent to.
As for the Turbo question, it was really a combination of availability, cost and the intent on keeping it simple...
Bumpers?
We're going to replace the front and rear bumpers due to a bit of damage on the current ones. I've been looking but the only aftermarket bumper I have found is from SubaExtreme and I don't believe they have any distribution into the US.
Does anyone know of other options in the US...
Now with the engine running smoothly we are researching the more in-depth modifications and sourcing parts. We're also beginning to do a bit of detailed cleanup. The long holiday weekend allowed for a good washing, detail of the bumpers and black trim and a refresh of the yellowing headlights...
The new/used engine in the Forester is sounding really good. I think it was a successful engine swap! We have about 125 miles on it since installing the engine, about 35 miles around town and the rest on the highway. We're taking it easy and double checking a few things every few days to make...
It's Alive!
About 16 hours over last weekend and the Subaru is ALIVE!! :victory:

It all went very smooth actually. It took about 3.5 hours to get the old engine out and another 2 to transfer several parts from the old engine over to the new long-block we got from...
