Good advice for sure. The last couple weeks have shown us several examples of severe, fast moving weather.

    Trying Something New - Kayak

Thanks. I suppose I'm not totally new to paddling. My family has a canoe, but it is big and heavy, so although it is good on camping trips, we never used it too much locally. It would be no fun at all to try and take it out solo. My Dad is planing to pick up a little kayak as well, so that...

    Abandoned/derelict sites

Oh yes, I too like abandoned places and things. Here are some I've come across. This is from today actually. The wreck is visible from the highway, but I got a different view from my kayak today. This is a little abandoned place near Wawa Ontario. Creepy Picture Overdue library...

    Trying Something New - Kayak

Well, I like to spend time outdoors. Most frequently, I hop on my bicycle and ride. Mostly MTB, sometimes road. However, I've been doing that for over 10 years, and some days, I'm just not excited to ride. So, I thought maybe it would be fun to try something new. I started looking on the...

Spied: 2015 Chevy Colorado (10 new photos, taken 7/2013)

Thanks. How do you mean people make them out to be bad mechanically? The 3.5L had some issues with the cylinder heads going bad. GM extended the warranty coverage to help with that. Like many 4x4s, if you use it hard off road, you are risking breaking something. On these trucks, the front...

Spied: 2015 Chevy Colorado (10 new photos, taken 7/2013)

The 2004 Colorado launched with a 3.5L inline five, but in 2007 they revised it to a 3.7L which bumped the HP and torque up 20 to 242. I have the 3.7L, and for my use, it has been serving me well. I don't typically carry heavy loads though. Kayaks, bikes, and tents don't weigh that much. The...

They are clearly trying to compete with the Tacoma, which is pretty big in crew cab long box format as well. Right now, the size of the previous generation suits my wants and needs much better.

    Holy Xterra deals!

I purchased my 2008 GMC Canyon Off Road with under 10,000mi on it for $18,000 + taxes /fees in 2012. I never shopped for Toyotas to compare, so I'm a little surprised by the apparent price difference. I hope your buddy enjoys the X.
