That's a good looking rig! Good luck with the sale.

    Gladiator - Good/Bad?

I don't have one but I haven't heard anything outside of the normal for Wranglers. I think the underpinnings and drivetrain are basically identical.

Jeep Announces Overlanding Trailer With ADDAX Overland

Yours is exactly what I was thinking about. PC06, yours is nice too. Although I imagine ADDAX wouldn't want to exclude Toyota and Ford buyers by offering a trailer that looks like a Jeep, but I would have thought Jeep would have added something more representative for the one geared toward their...

Jeep Announces Overlanding Trailer With ADDAX Overland

I'm slightly disappointed it doesn't sport Jeep taillights or door handles or hinges or ... well anything that would make you believe it was a somewhat of a Jeep product. Anyone can slap a logo and wheels on their trailer. That being said, I do love how Jeep continues embedding itself in its...

Jeep build specialist - Wrangler Willy’s ecodiesel

I definitely second this. If you can really wrap your head around not modifying, the stock Willy's is great as-is! Especially the new JLs. I think they look great and sit just right. Now if you add a winch and plan to trailer, heavier-duty springs would probably help since I don't think there...

Build what I have or New with goodies?

I can relate to this. We bought our Jeep when we did (a couple years before I planned to) because my wife "couldn't" (wouldn't) drive our Mustang (manual). So automatic Jeep it was. Often I wish it was a manual but auto is hard to hate! If your wife truly continues to hate driving manual, that's...

    Land Rover ideas for Jeeps

I like the trend but would WAY rather see a hybrid battery aftermarket option where you could swap between EV and gas for maximum range and usability.

Jeep Gladiator Build Thread - 18 months around Australia with The Road Chose Me

Great videos Dan! Keep up the awesome travels and thanks for taking us along. You're doing wonders for the Jeep name too btw. lol

Build what I have or New with goodies?

I'd recommend keeping a paid-off Jeep, add some E-rated all-terrain tires in the stock size, give the vehicle a good twice-over to make sure everything is in good operation condition, grab a Garmin Delorme (or another GPS messager) and some basic recovery gear for the Jeep and the trailer, and...

Suitability of a 4-door JK jeep

Lots of good advice here. We initially bought our 4-dr Jeep with the plans to have kids and still have a cool fun around-town car. So far, with a 15-mo old, its been great! The car seat does sit tight in the backseat. Facing backwards, the back of it is against the back of my driver's seat. I...

    Land Rover ideas for Jeeps

I love the idea of fitting up a front camera on my JK but am finding it challenging to work with the current factory screen set-up. My only thought is splicing a switch/line to a front camera from the back camera wiring. Then, when in reverse, toggle the switch to see both views.

    My first jeep

Congratulations! A full renovation and update will serve you well. The company (I think in India) that runs the "galeri_xj" Instagram page restores some really nice XJs. It may be a good place for inspiration. Good luck!

    AEV quits the JK

Yeah, this news doesn't surprise me. If I remember right, even prime auto manufacturers discontinue parts after a while and rely on the aftermarket to support them. I do hope they'll retain some inventory though for more extreme conditions, specifically those people in collisions needing...

    Off road minivan

Another consideration would be a 4Runner. It's comparable to the GC in class but is a true body on frame with a solid rear axle. In TRD Off-Road trim it has a rear locker. The Limited trim may be more your style since you mention luxury. On that note, the Lexus GX isn't a bad option in the same...

Time flies... my LJ pickup is 14 years old

14 years later it still looks so good and is definitely envied by many. I never noticed it before but how come you run two smaller spares instead of one full size?

    Land Rover ideas for Jeeps

First off, I love this thread and am glad you're able to continue finding cool styles that could be implemented in Jeep designs. Keep it up! Regarding the dash, I agree that the JK was definitely a Jeep move toward the minivan. Luckily, for me, it isn't drastic enough to think minivan each time...

    My ZJ Overland from France/Belgium

Looks good! I like that the rear bumper doesn't look too "loud". More of a subtle build.

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

Last month my family and a friend's family (Bronco) took a couple of weeks off and went from Houston to Chaco National Park, Mesa Verde, Durango, Silverton, Animas Forks, Ouray, Ophir Pass, Telluride, Imogene Pass, and Black Canyon of the Gunnison. It was an awesome trip with some crazy memories...
