are you running it w/eco throttle on or off? If eco throttle is on and a heavy amp motor surges online it can stall out because its not able to throttle up fast enough.. turning eco throttle off should fix that.
Coffee Makers nearly pull a full 15A them selves, I hadda get a travel coffee maker...
@IPA, if you leave gasoline in the carb then put it in long term storage the fuel turns into varnish and gums everything up (especially worse w/Ethanol mixtures), generally running like crap and hard to start til you take the carb apart, clean it up and put it back together.. worst case the...
last time I had an extended power outage at home I lost more money in my deep freeze than my honda generator cost me.. guess if your only ever going to use it for recreational reasons sure, but I need mine to keep my pipes from freezing and house flooding in a blizzard, so saving a few hundred...
theres an authorized small engine honda dealer just down the street from me that not only sells inverter generators, it services em and performs warranty work.. most of the HF gennys are using knockoff honda engines in em.. why get a copy of a copy when you can get the original?
A friend got a...
the new 2200EU has fuel shutoff letting you run carb dry.. I have a station down the street that sells ethanol free so I fill my jerry cans up with that and then put some marine stab-il in it.. Plan on adding a tri-fuel kit too as I use it for emergency heating power in winter.. hook it up to my...
would be next to impossible to prove a broken beer bottle was intentional, so it would just be an accident and covered by insurance..
there's only so much you can do, the idea being he looks under there with a flashlight to figure out how its anchored to the ground and sees a bunch of broken...
I took a 3ft section of 1in LDR, cemented it 2ft into the ground, filled the internal pipe with concrete then welded a ball hitch receiver to it.. If I hadda do it again I'd probably pick 2in or bigger LDR and just reduce it to 1in pipe thread.. I also drilled out the coupler lock pin so it...
wave heaters dont have a low oxygen shutoff, so thats not it.. it does have a LP valve that opens w/heat, are you priming it long enough that gets hot enough it stays open?
usually works alot better for a camper trailer, as you tend to camp in the shade but when driving its likely to be getting direct sunlight unless its overcast.. If your vehicle is only providing 3-4A, and your solar is providing 8-10A, you should be getting 11-14A while driving and thats...
~$22k list price, no negotiation even attempted as I thought it was worth that easy, had considered ordering one silver to match my tow vehicle.. The 4 other on market were $28k+ and 2018MY (none were silver, just black/white/gray), figured for $6k I could easily paint it to the exact same color...
I understand your pain, I was on month 8 of looking for the perfect rig.. had decided to settle on something less, then right before that deal went down I found the Discover out of the blue.. Didn't even have to see one in person, drove to Minnesota to pick it up, gave it a once over and signed...
thats to isolate a house battery and a starter battery when the vehicle is off, wont really help give you a better charging source.. its to make sure you can always start your vehicle by disconnecting a dedicated starter battery from your house battery bank.. not sure what exactly you expect it...
Kinda, the vehicle has a sophisticated power management system and its just not designed to cope with a 2nd battery where your tapping into it.. you might have better luck getting a feed directly off the alternator under the hood, Im sure there's a big fuse/distribution box coming off it that...
yeah thats going to suck.. under your drivers seat eh?
Ive got a Q7, its same chassis as yours.. it has a build in battery charging system that ages out the battery and derates the charge voltage for it.. your not getting alternator power output, your getting the onboard battery charger...
3h is not enough to recharge an 100ah lead battery, even with a high amp charger.. how is it hooked up to your vehicle? Likely the cabling is limiting the amps and the charge and making it slower.. Your Starter battery is connected directly to alternator w/heavy gauge cabling, your ArkPak likely...
Your tow vehicle is only going to feed a few amps through the trailer plug, wont be a great charge source, so no its not worth the cost of a charge controller.. On a Travel Trailer the wiring really only supports absorbing/floating a battery, if it needs a bulk charge your better off providing...
ideally you needa run the generator til its back to 100% (until you have solar to finish the job), for a set of golf cart batteries thats much longer than 3h.. IIRC it takes 8-12h to recharge a pair of em from half depleted, and unless you plan on driving that much every time they need recharged...
thats a wise decision, house batteries without a reliable charge source wont last that long.. learned that lesson the hard way.
lead batteries quite dislike not being fully charged, and "deep discharging" without permanent damage is really only feasible if you have the ability to immediately...
