It was received on Thursday and set up in the yard. It took a little bit to figure out the setup, but once I did, it went up super easy. I gave it the waterhose test and it stayed dry as a bone. It seems to have good ventilation, and does pretty well in the wind too. It's HUGE, but should be...
I saw one in person at a Rover rally several weeks ago. Yes, it was a pretty sweet looking set-up, but it has a design flaw that needs to be fixed. The fabric is attached to the roof of the box by double-sided stick-on Velcro strips. When the box got hot in the sun, the Velcro strips came...
The reviews I've seen so far say this tent does surprisingly well in wind and rain. The first impressions were that the floor would probably be a weak point, but folks have been surprised by that too. I'll use a tarp underneath, and a blanket/rug on the floor. I'm pretty excited about this tent...
I've spent waaaaay too much money on tents the last couple of years. I had a great RTT, but it didn't work well with the herd of labs. So, I went with the OzTent RV5. I love it, but it's not the best for a herd of labs either, and it's a HUGE (long) beast to haul around. So, I searched and...

Well, I didn't want to go back to work, but I was ready to get out of the heat. The wind blew nicely during the day, but died down to nothing at night, making the humidity and temperatures pretty unbearable.
Ok, maybe I'm crazy, but I'm selling my almost brand new OzTent. I bought it in January, and I love it...but it's not quite big enough for camping with 3 gi-normous labs.
It has the footprint and the rainfly. The tent cloth was slightly damaged shortly after it arrived. I did a stupid, stupid...
If anybody is still looking, I might be willing to part with mine. I bought it in January, and I love it...but it's not quite big enough for camping with 3 gi-normous labs.

When I had my JK, I went to the junk yard and got some tracks from a minivan. I bolted them onto the roof and used Yakima crossbars. I was sure to note the year/make/model of the van so I could order the appropriate yakima towers. It worked very well, but I wanted to be able to use the rack...

AGREED 100%
I dumped State Farm as soon as I could. It was cheap, but I got what I payed for. Actually...I didn't get anywhere near what I payed for.
The Gobi racks are sturdy, well-fitting, thoroughly thought out, comparably quiet, and just all-around great racks. Yes, they tend to be a little more pricey than some others, but you won't regret it.
I just got my first snowpeak piece of gear... the hozuki lamp.
I wouldn't have payed $90 for it, but I used my REI dividend and discount to get it. I must say, it's really pretty cool!
I have a Mombasa covered entry WITH a fully floored changing room for $850. I bought it about a year ago and have only used it about 10 nights. It has a small tear in the changing room that I haven't had time to repair, but otherwise in great condition. I'm located in Little Rock, AR.
