Get an Unlimited, buy a used rear Rubicon axle or an ARB locker and run ....

If you want tough and a radial, and you are not very price sensitive, I recommend BF Baja TA, I believe they still come on 33x10.50R15 and are one tough tire. I have never seen a tire take as much abuse as those things. Saludos

I have also been to RC hell and back, and mostly what I have learned is that a rig has to be balanced, want big tires?, that's ok, just bring along axles, suspension components and HP to the picture. Here in Mexico I see unbalanced rigs that get stuck all the time, you know the type, big tires...

It cant be removed, what I do is use an inflatable pad, It sort of works, Still I end up using a couple of single cots that we have, the double is just too big to haul around.

How about keeping the D44s, fill them with some nice cromo stuff, and some Q78 swampers on stock rims? Bias tires, dual lockers, nice wheel base and a dependable straight six, sounds like a nice, durable expo rig to me. Saludos. PS wish I could get an LJ jeep down here ....

I have decided to get my own kayak after using my friend boat for way too long, We usually take 3 or 4 daytrips per year at a local river but I am looking to start paddling a bit more. I was looking at a Old Town Loon 15T @ 800 US or so, Its that a good choice...
