Forced air: I built in the option for outside air intake through the diesel heater ventilation mode. Worked great! Just be careful that you are not sucking in the combustion air by accident.
With a 1 ton, do you mean a F150 or F350?
Our F150 with the flatbed and Wolverine camper (1300lb) was just barely big enough for it.
An F350 would have been much much better. Without knowing your interior materials , water tank size etc, it’s hard to give you an estimate. But I’m pretty...
I love this topic! Please allow me to chip in.
Ventilation:
Right in the beginning we did interior air quality testing. The device showed us elevated numbers of carbon dioxide within minutes. We did the same tests with windows cracked and then with forced air ventilation. As a result and to...
I can comment on noise. Spend about 25 nights in mine with the lunos just a foot away from the bed area. The sound never bothered me. In comparison: the airhead fan and fridge are much louder. Different story if you run it in ventilation mode (high volume) . That’s when it gets louder but not...
We have a Crosstrek Wilderness. Many moons ago we also owned an Outback. They are fantastic. I call it a no drama vehicle. You just get in and drive. Our area just got hammered with snow and ice the last couple of days. It's kind of lame to miss out on the fun when others are sliding and are...
I'm currently building a new 5 ton expedition truck for my family. A/C was something we certainly wanted. Don't like having a typical A/C unit on the roof.... Decided to fix install a EcoFlow wave2 . Bench testing gave me confidence that it will be more than capable to cool and heat the 16' habitat.
Sorry, can't comment on the way other businesses communicate :-(
For us at TC we respond on Social media as open and fast as we can. This takes a lot of our time (even on weekends) and sometimes creates follow ups from "not so nice people" that sometimes makes you question why on earth we are...
Epic! Needless to say that everyone here at TC and the builder Offgrid Customs off-grid-campers-1 are incredible excited to be part of this. Nothing better than a real expedition!
Cheers
First--I had no idea about the sales price. Was just guessing based on previous vehicles they build and compared with typical "high end" Expo brands in USA.
In any case, it's certainly not something most of us can purchase easily. Still nice to see innovation and something new!
I have no idea how this would be possible at a foreign port... We ship a lot of goods around the globe and finding unloading facilities with the right equipment on hand is insanely difficult. Can't imagine trying to do this in a country I'm not familiar with. I would rather book a platform...
This will play in a different league. Can’t compare with anything currently sold in North America. Most likely also to a “better” price point where you don’t feel getting ripped off. If I could swing it, I would buy a Unicat (even a 20 year old one) in a heartbeat.
