We use a magnetic screen off amazon. Works amazing and way better than a sliding screen.

    Entry Door and Roof Windows

Your feedback is very very valuable! At no point did I see this as criticism or bashing :-) You guys live full time in your truck and use the products every single day. It's not surprising that you will find more things to improve/maintain than others that just go out for the weekend. I'm...

    Entry Door and Roof Windows

Windows and doors always come with a trade off. It's either thermal efficiency, quality, weight or price. Although the Arctic Tern are not perfect, I still think they offer a great value. All Glass windows require a "stepped cut" that requires a certain skill and tools. Therefore they are not...

    Winnebago EKKO

You are brave with that dark vinyl wrap! This will increase the surface temperature by a great margin and blisters ( delamination) is pretty much a given.

    Scout Camper

That's true. Lithium doesn't charge much in freezing temperatures. Question is: How cold was it in the camper? Did you have the heat going?

    Custom Extrusions for FRP Panels

I have worked at a semi trailer factory in Germany where we wet lay the FRP/Foam panels. What a mess! The factory did it because of cost and speed. With heated moulds (up to 40' long) we could make several panels per 8 hour shift. If you vacuum bag it needs to sit for pretty much a full day...

    Custom Extrusions for FRP Panels

dont forget to apply primer before bonding metal with adhesive… correct, there are only 90 degree pultrusions to be found. We got 45 ones made to match our system. Again… expensive…

    Custom Extrusions for FRP Panels

Agreed. Tons of different ways to join panels. our system is designed for simplicity and speed in a production setting . I have build many cabins with solutions shown below and they are very time intense. But at the end ,if time doesn’t matter to you , they all offer great strength.

    Custom Extrusions for FRP Panels

custom? It’s very expensive… you need to engineer it, make dies and then run a minimum length in production ( usually a full container load). We have several custom frp pultrusions in our name and I can tell you it’s not cheap. Think about a $30,000 price tag per design. There is also a lot that...

    Awning install?

I fully agree with the forces on an awning. We had our ARB out in heavy storms and it survived. We have a bigger 180 awning on our trailer and it will not stay out in wind. Btw, we have tested (without destruction) our mounting brackets to 150kg/300lb load without any sign of weakness.

Not sure how strong your corners/panels are but this is what we do.

    300GD usability, parts availability

With your vin number any Mercedes dealer should be able to pull up your vehicle and order parts directly from Germany. I would say lots of parts like the belts and filters are shared with other Mercedes models and are most likely in stock. Years ago I imported a 4x4 Sprinter cab chassis from...

Total Composites Slide In Camper Kits

Happy holidays! at this point there is nothin in the making for the maverick. Dont think that’s the right truck to put a camper on. The bed is shorter than on the ranger. This means a camper that shorter than 5’…. Payload is also way too low to consider a 500lb camper. cheers
