    guzzler H20 Drinking water system

I need the excersize. I guess I am just going to keep using my First Need Deluxe hand pump filter / purifier. Yes it looks like a good idea, but that price tag is a bit hard to take.

How to keep cast iron cookware from flogging your gear off road?

So probably a dumb question, but I intend on carrying a 10" Outdoor Gourmet skillet, and an Outdoor Gourmet double sided griddle / grill (both rebranded Lodge items) in cast iron. I also have the 12" dutch oven. I have a nice padded protector / carrying case for the dutch oven. I am just...

Go Rhino Winch mount brush guard + Engo E9000 winch. $300.00

Pics pending, but my Go Rhino winch mount brush guard, Roller fairlead with flip up license plate bracket, and Engo E9000 winch to fit 2004 - 2005 Ford F150 with factory front bumper is up for sale. $300.00. Winch only used 4x, and never needed for vehicle recovery, but to drag downed trees out...

    The Memorial F150 Craptor.

Okay so the bed platform is done, again. Truck is in the shop. Now I work on siding the bed and electrical compartment cabinets. Can't wait to get the truck back in a good running condition, and then I can finish up the camper...

    The Memorial F150 Craptor.

For anyone that is following this. I did test fit the Aquatainers in the rear seat footwell, and they fit great, and offer support for a plywood base for a doggie bed, so we have a multiple win situation here. Meaning I now have, should the dog come with me, if not I have plenty of added...

    The Memorial F150 Craptor.

I just watched the wrecker take the truck off for its heart transplant. The plan is by the time I get it back it should have a new engine everything checked over new belts hoses that sort of thing, The suicide doors are getting fixed and a full inspection so I can go directly to the tax office...

    The Memorial F150 Craptor.

Okay license plate bracket arrived. Pulled the winch, pulled the fairlead, installed the bracket, installed the fairlead, installed the winch, got 3 of the 4 screws holding the license plate to the old bracket off, 4th one boogered the allen head, had to cut it off with my oscillating multi...

Well, the wheel well slopes, so load bearing isn't likely to happen... But yeah I was thinking AquaTainers in the cab, and 1/2" ply deck with his dog bed on top for cushion. The passenger side back seat is where the fridge is slated to be installed. sideways so I can access it with the side door...

    How thick is a bedrug?

Awesome. That helps me make the decision. Cut down the bed platform uprights 1.5" and even after adding bedrug and rat fur headliner I am still gaining 1"+ of headroom, plus being able to keep AquaTainers under the bed. Worst part, that is becoming less appealing to me. Since I will have to...

    How thick is a bedrug?

Okay this sounds dumb, but I am having difficulty getting height right on my bed platform for my F150 build. I am adding a bedrug, but I see the thickness listed at 3/4", but it occurred to me that 3/4" is probably TOTAL thickness including the part that occupies the space between the ribs on...

Look at the gas mileage posted in this old Ford ad!

The history I had with Ford trucks is how I ended buying my '04 F150. To be honest the build quality of the 80s trucks simply is not there in my '04. Most notably that stupid Triton engine. And the matches everyone else's independent front suspension. I miss the old pushrod V8s and twin traction...

    The Memorial F150 Craptor.

So serious decision making to be done. Went out and measured, again, and again. The height of the wheel wells. I have 9" from floor to top of wheel wells. My bed frame is 2x2 lumber (nominal) horizontally and 2x3 verticals with 1/2" plywood decking. So 2x2 is effectively 1.5" My current...

    The Memorial F150 Craptor.

Went and did another test fitment today, Think I might just cut the uprights down a touch more... Hadn't considered the added thickness the bedrug and carpeted headliner in the cap is going to pose... I have about 2" I can still cut out of the uprights...

    The Memorial F150 Craptor.

Ah, I thought you meant for the tailgate / hatch straps. Sorry, Yeah that could work. I already whipped up a quick and ugly winch cable strap handle though. I am a lousy sewer. I know it is a strong joint but boy is it ugly...

    The Memorial F150 Craptor.

Filled the ends of the flares, get to cut that out, sand it down and paint it this afternoon or tomorrow after the expanding foam cures... Then the flares get reinstalled. Debating, and I mean stupidly debating cladding the electronics enclosure. Need one side set up with plywood to hold the...

    The Memorial F150 Craptor.

Well, it would certainly be overkill for my application. I am just looking for a simple strap handle, just a loop of nylon webbing basically. I am figuring on the tailgate just using one of the cover screws to attach to the tailgate, and to the hatch, the bottom part of the extrusion is hollow...

    The Memorial F150 Craptor.

Webbing / strapping in red came today. Need to make a winch hook HANDLE strap. All of them I have seen are just straps. I want a handle so it is easy to grab and drag the hook / line with big gloved hands. Also need to set up pull straps for the tailgate and camper shell hatch...

    The Memorial F150 Craptor.

Heading over to the Home Depot to get my plywood for the bed, have them do the first 2 major cuts and then I will have extra to trim off for the electrical center. May abandon the foamie goal as I have T&G beadboard in excess in my shop. And I just want to get this part of the build done.

    The Memorial F150 Craptor.

No worries. I actually have a proper flip down license plate holder for the Hawse fairlead. I had one for the old roller fairlead, but upgrading to a synthetic line / hawse fairlead equipped winch rendered that mount useless... Not going to take a pic of it at this stage, but the uprights on...

And a HUGE part of why I opted for a winch with a wireless remote controller. I do NOT want to be in that drivers seat while winching if I can avoid it... However if you need to steer / brake doing self extraction, the drivers seat is the only option you have. A bit surprised no better results...
