Smart - I'll be diving back under mine now to see if that space is available on my Ford. It's such a big step up, I should've thought to look there before.
With the directly in front of the door location, it's a great space for storage. I recall someone (Lance?/aka NoNeck) building storage...
coach lighting and some tracking electrical runs
This CX has lots of everything – including lighting.
Too much lighting actually, if you boondock a lot. There are two ceiling lights in the coach, two under cabinet lights, a fluorescent light over the sink, a light in the vent hood...
interior
For the interior, knowing what worked and what didn’t in the GT & XL helped a lot.
Storage in the GT (with the popup) was so limited I found myself buying any container for the kitchen and over-the-sofa slider storage cabinets which would fit - exactly one toilet paper roll high...
Esmi, it’s just wrong that both your Tiger and your thread got hijacked. Since I’m responsible for snitching this Tiger from you and though I had help with the thread hijack (I can just see the smirk on Brain’s face) , I figure it’s up to me to get things back on track. I managed to get down...
Les - glad to hear everything is working out well for you. Sounds like a great first extended trip.
If you get a chance could you post some pics of the changes to your electrical system? Mostly the battery bank/inverter/solar controller location and access to it. I have seen multiple...
Glad you made it up there!
I have to go ALL the way back now because I skipped the water side of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Boohoo.
Most of what I've done so far is to use this thing! It is a blast to drive, tons of power and very comfortable living space with lots of inside storage. Got its first little drink this past week too.
I took it to a scale, with full water/gas/propane tanks it came in at 8420 lbs (3680...
Apologies for delay in responding, I've been out and about without the interweb. All PMs replied to, and contact info updated in first post.
Flippac is off the truck, truck is sold - so local pickup only now in Forest Falls CA.
Bump for the big flippac. Would like to move it from truck to truck rather than store it.
Spoke with Diane at FRP yesterday, these are going for over 6K new from their dealers. Plus they haven't made any for fullsize longbeds in a while, they've been busy making the "mini" versions.
I'd be interested to see that special tool if you care to share it.
Snow is an issue here too, this is the XL in Mar shortly after I replaced all the roof vents. Just in time :)
But - the CX will not fit in this parking spot so no roof access from the firewood shed for the new kid.
Those are very nice units. BTW congrats on that Tiger you have, one of the best modified ones I've ever seen.
I'm not sure how snow removal is going to go for me on this Tiger. Currently I don't have access to the roof since the ladder was removed - that'll have to change.
