I had the same system (designed and engineered by the mfg) on my truck. The brackets "B" bent in the way you see in the IDACAMPER photos.
After sending pictures to the mfg they gave me a new kit that was upgraded with part "C" to prevent bracket "B" from bending.
Your last posts take things...
Disappointing seeing this post.
When I looked at the original post I thought it was pretty good and I made a suggestion regarding the air bag mount.
The air bag mount was designed and engineered by the manufacturer which contradicts the point you make.
In addition if I thought it was unsafe...
Depending on where you go there are times times when extra weight helps dig through snow and will add traction on ice but it needs to be balanced front to back.
When unloaded the diesel engine in both my F350 and F450 have too much weight on the front.
- in deep snow the front will drop...
Thanks for posting the pictures. Heavy packs with micro spikes on slush next to a crevasse is a good way to make the day more interesting.
I've found the MSR Youth snowshoes work great (weight/traction) with crapons/micro spikes in those consitions...
People turning a F150/250 into a F350/450 start with a short box and no GVWR pack. It's no joke either. I was reading another post yesterday in which serval people are advising someone how to do it.
Wrong the 2500/F250/3500F350/4500/F450 are the same. On can save thousands buying a 2500 or F250 and turn it ito a 4500/ F450 by adding air bags or springs and a sway bar
The terminals look old. Where did these come from. I tried scanning the codes to check the mfgt date and it doesn't come up.
FYI Prices for cells are dropping

With 12V (<30Vmp) the certificates will be few and far between so wattage can't be used as a guide.
Better off comparing household panels (>30Vmp) that have CEC,UL,ETL certificates.
You don't need to run duals or super singles. The GVWR of my F450 is 14,000lbs. With 2 of the back wheels taken off the capacity of the 4 remaining wheel and tires is 15,880lbs
I have a 18" EGO with a 5Ah battery. The 210w charger was too slow so I bought the 550W. I use a 600W inverter for it. I always bring my Sily1000 because the battery for that saw last for days.
I use the EGO when on my dirt bike. In the truck I take a gas saw that I run on Aspen "green" fuel...
Neighbour just bought a VW Tiguan and put 32" tires on it. I jsut saw it leaving with 3 kids full of gear plus bikes an dit wasn't squating
I know all about the poor service at Subaru. The headlights were adjusted before putting the spare tire in. People were flashing high beams at us every...
