Ok so I thought I had the alternator issue sorted but I was apparently wrong. Lost the belt so I replaced the belt, that one snapped in 20 miles. Swapped alternator to a spare unit and snapped that belt. Did some searching and it seems slop in the power steering belt can cause this issue so...

Got the alternator sorted out today and put the front driveshaft back in after a much needed u-joint replacement. Skid plate will be here on sunday along with a stock rear bumper to fill the gap until I can get my rear bumper situation squared away Bottorf Fab isn't going to be suppling them...

IIRC they aren't a direct bolt in but the manual cloth range rover classic seats are a direct swap. I think Will Tillery on dweb had a set for sale a few weeks back.

The noise isn't to bad, but the heat of the tranny tunnel would allow me to slow roast dinner on a long drive. My plan is to add a layer of lizard skin and then make rubber mats for it. In the cold mornings the heat is nice but in the summer it could make meat fall of the bone lol.
