Best I have done so far is 16....usually get 12 to 14 mpg. I did look into a flat deck with storage below the deck. Issue was the way I wanted it done to make it worth my while the flat deck would be considerably more weight then the box. The service body company spec. was aluminum with...

I meant with the camper and all my work gear plus a trailer. Add a couple hundred pounds of tools, instruments, supplies for a couple weeks, fuel & water, two 700 lb snowmobiles.....it gets heavy fast. Trailer brakes never last in rough use on the forestry roads day in day out and I haul a...

I have a cover over the guts which is made of a wet suit material ..... served me well in the past. The full fabric covers seem to rot quickly up here from the salt. Found the wetsuit one worked better even though it does not look as good due to the foot and rail get rusty. I have never found...

The Insider’s Guide to Buying a Pop-Up Camper

Was not going to post but had to after reading the bad experience on the Phoenix. Zero issues with mine. Excellent craftsmanship and nice parts in the spec. Super happy with it. So experiences vary….you’ll find that with all manufacturers I would bet.

Dusty roads are a enemy to the propane (standard) fridge. ARB fridges are highly efficient and do not have to be vented to the out side like the propane units. Also the ARB's removal top is a nice feature for accessing the contents of the fridge with the top down. Coyote RV also sells them...

Hi docb14 The Kelly TSR's are just a better all around tire when not in mud then the BFG M/T KM2 in my opinion. The BFG M/T KM2 is a poor winter tire compared to the Kelly TSR studded tire.

    Dura Trac vs KM2

Have both....Duratracks are studded on the Cruiser for winter (they are a crapy summer tire due to accelerated wear) as they are a awesome winter tire. Summer I run KM2 on the the Taco & Cruiser. Another option for you that I run on my Tacoma in the winter is the Kelly TSR. A aggressive all...
