Spare Tire Carrier
Up until now the spare tire had resided inside the trailer. This was never an issue since our kitchen set up was in the back of the JK and we didn't need the space. The new owner had other plans and commissioned us to build a spare tire carrier.
I needed to reinforce...
Wider Fenders
A year or so ago we purchased a set of fenders from Jason over at Manley. When we purchased No. 183 my plan had been to move the tires and rims from him over to Pepe and keep the matching tires and wheels to use down the road. Being that the backspacing was different on the new...
Lengthened Tongue and a New Home
Well...
Word of our purchase of No. 183 spread quickly and without advertising Pepe quickly found his way to a new home dubbed "Elvis". Prior to his departure there were a few things that had to be done to make him ready for his new owner. I'll highlight...
Two answer both questions above the Bosch and Gems Engine would require a different cam. The cam that is included has the distributor drive gear on the front for use with a 3.5 / 3.9 front engine cover.
I can price a different cam if you are interested.

4.6 Crank (machine shop said it would...

Nice clean design work there at Arco ;)
Cheers
Thanks Kc, those are the tent rails that AT makes for the horizon. We moved the Eezi Awn from Pepe over to it. I plan to install a pull out table under the rack just haven't decided which to go with. They all look pretty flimsy online. I'd like to see them in person or get some feedback from...
Our first modification to the trailer was to lengthen the tongue so that the rear door on the JK would clear the nose box.
I began taking measurements to determine how much longer the tongue would need to be. 5 1/2" was the minimum required for the door to clear.
With a few more...
I'll stick to the more technical side of this thread and leave the story telling to Brandy. She's a more creative writer. Here are a few images from our return trip home ;)
