My wife has been nagging me about changing that bulb for a while too. But I like the lantern. No duct tape was used to hang it just a hook

    Lets talk about camp lights

The bulb on my back porch light burned out 2 years ago so I put a hook in one of my rafters and hung up my old big gas lantern. I find the light it gives off a lot more plesant than the electric light when I’m outside after dark cooking on the grill or having a beer. I guess that’s why the...

    Lets talk about camp lights

Folks go camping to relax. Raising hell and disregarding all rules is one thing but Even if I can hear them bubbas or bro-dudes sitting around a fire drinking beer make better camping Neighabor’s than some uptight guy complaining about everything.

I like my gas lanterns. I will continue to use them. Nothing works better for setting up camp after dark or for cooking. If my lantern offends anyone they can deal with it.

Best place to buy a fridge?

I have a $450 whytner I got from Home Depot. It lives in my truck. I spent another 450 adding a second battery and wiring and stuff. My Walmart marine battery will run it for 2 days in the summer without charging. I am pretty cheap By most people’s standards but It is worth the cost.

Coleman Gemini PowerPack - Alternative to large propane tanks

Most of the time I use An adapter hose with a 20 pound tank. I would buy a small refillable tank if I needed one but refilling the used ones works fine I have not really had a problem with leakage. I see it kinda like buying Tupperware when you can just wash and reuse that plastic peanut butter...

Coleman Gemini PowerPack - Alternative to large propane tanks

Don’t be so dramatic. It’s not the cost it’s the wastefulness of throwing them away after a single use.

Coleman Gemini PowerPack - Alternative to large propane tanks

I throw the empties in my chest freezer and then use the brass caps when I refill them. I stuck one that I know leaked in a ziplock bag with the cap on to test it and it seemed to work.
