    Reattaching a D2 rearview mirror?

Thanks. Turns out that pad is only for D1's. The D2 is glued on. I found out the metal slug can b popped off the bracket using a thin screw driver.

Something odd with a DII horn

I had the same issue 3 years ago. In the middle of the night the horn went off, constantly blaring. At first I thought the alarm was tripped but the car was fine, no signs of tampering. I disconnected the battery to shut it up for the night. In the morning, I found the left-side horn button...

    Reattaching a D2 rearview mirror?

My rearview mirror fell off the other day. I got some special rearview mirror adhesive to reattach it. However the instructions said to remove the "mounting button" from the mirror bracket. On the back of the D2 mirror is a metal plate which I assume is the "button" but I don't see a...

Maryland 110, I appreciate you bringing this deal to the ExPo community. I'm buying one of the refrigerators from one of your friends. Thanks for doing this and please don't let the 'objections' kill your spirit from doing this again. I also read the rules for this forum and don't see where...

Jammed rear Door on a DII, suggestions

My rear door sometimes gets stuck too. I can press the outside latch but the door latch doesn't release. I've found that by pushing the door forward when pressing the latch, it will release and the door will open. Don't know if this will work for you but you might want to give it a try.

Opinions on HiCountry Offroad DII Roof Rack?

How about this roof rack? This is a low-profile roof rack for a D1 but they'll make one for a D2. It requires removal of the two (2) front roof rails.

Looking at a DII, What can you tell me?

The "shuttle valve" is the shuttle valve modulator. There is a LR kit for around $100 that might fix this but just about every LR mechanic I've talked to say it doesn't work or a gamble of time and $$. From what I recall, a new LR shuttle valve is around $2200 but LR is supposed to have...

Opinions on HiCountry Offroad DII Roof Rack?

Wow you guys are a tough crowd, :bike_rider:. I'm now afraid to show pictures of the custom rear bumper on one of my D2's that was built by the previous owner. :coffeedrink: Anyway I'm still looking at roof racks and wonder what people think of this roof rack, it's from ARB. Does anyone have...

    Stains on Ex-Officio

Oil Eater works great! I use Oil Eater to remove motor oil as well as vegetable oil from clothing. It just seems to dissolve the oil and it's biodegradable. I've used it on Ex Officio Air Strip shirts as well as Ex Officio nylon pants and the oil stain was removed 100%...
