EarthCruiser Up "Boulder Alley" into Collins Valley, Anza Borrego Desert State Park
FG Colleagues:
Heidi and I drove up the Lower Coyote Canyon track into Sheep Canyon to camp the night before Christmas Eve. We last drove that route in 2007 in our Tacoma and the rough stretch up the...
Hello John:
We ordered a "block heater" option on our 2014. I envisioned an internal element in the oil pan that would be a factory installation, wiring that would be part of the factory looms and have some sort of a cool receptacle panel somewhere, covered by the factory warranty, etc. The...
EarthCruiser & Pickup w over-the-cab camper
Hello Keyne:
I just ran across a photo that provides some comparison in size between our EarthCruiser and a crewcab pickup with an over-the-cab camper. Note that the top is up on the EarthCruiser so it's height is greater than you experience...
Hello Keyne:
Our EarthCruiser (2014) fits in "regular" spaces. The overall length from the winch fairlead to the spares in just at 22 to 22.5 feet. You can go through Zion's tunnels with the regular vehicles rather than waiting for the RV controls!

Some good advice on this thread. I think the need for a powered saw depends on how much you anticipate cutting in a short period of time. If you foresee situations where you're going to cut a lot of stuff and you are in a hurry, then a powered saw is probably what would work best. Once you're...
State Farm
We insured our Earth Cruiser through our State Farm agent. We have all of our insurance with them which I think helped. It took some time and our agent spent some time on the phone with Michelle at EarthCruiser in Bend, OR. I think it was easier once they realized it was a...
Update
I adjusted the maximum voltage allowed via the Blue Sky Energy Solar Controller to 15.0 or 14.9 volts (can't remember now exactly which it was) and that seemed to have solved the problem.
Thanks for all of the suggestions,
Howard
Controller in Absorption Mode?
In addition to all the good comments above, we've found that we never see our panels full capability because our batteries are rarely drawn down far enough for our MPPT controller to dump full Absorption Mode voltage & current into them. Depending on how your...
Which Old Version Do You Need?
I have several older versions of MapSource executable files you could try if you want:

Hello Will:
Thanks for putting this together. I'll join for either the RW14000 or RW16000 and a case. Any idea about the timing and when you'll need payment and final decision on model?
Will they be drop shipped from Colorado or come from your place? We'll be heading through AZ before...
Medano Pass - Colorado
Hello Mark & John:
Mark mentioned potentially driving some tracks in the Rockies. While we haven't done as much travel in the Colorado Rockies as we hope to, we have taken our 2014 EarthCruiser/Fuso over Medano Pass from west to east this September. No problems at all...
Hello John:
Sorry for the confusion about the differential ratios - I should have looked up the actual specs. Ours is the 5.714. If you run the numbers, the 5.714 with 34" tires "behaves" like the 5.285 with the stock tire size. That's one reason why a tire taller than 34" on the Duonic 6...
Hello Mock Tender:
We have a 2014 FG based EarthCruiser. We're running Alan's alloy 16's with 315/75 Toyo MS tires. I think the overall diameter is nearly the same as the 19 ATW setup (I don't mean to argue with Czechsix!). I've probably read the same posts as you, so I've decided I won't go...
