    Tyre pressure was 45psi front and 55 in the rear ( there will be more why in my trip report ). The place of this sand crossing is at the bottom of the hill at Maytown. Dan.

    No , not a mark on them other than a lot of dust. Didn't really spin on them. Weight on the rear axle weighed on the way up :- 2.88 tonnes ( 6,349 lbs ) Dan.

    Double clutching under load can often get you into 1st without grinding (yes at walking pace ) but most times it is a full stop. Dan.

    Myself, I'm of the opinion that there is something else going on. Do the wheels spin true on the vehicle when it is jacked up. Should never have happened. Got to be another problem. Dan.

    Not absolutely sure but yes I believe in the same time frame. I knew of two others that were in use at the same time as my brother's on pineapple farms used for hauling one ton pine bins around. These were in the area south of Gympie so there may have been even more in the Nambour area. Dan.

    I say that both of these answer are right. I've not had a problem and yes you can't put the beads that I use through the valve stem. Talking to the "Tip Top" tyre rep they sell tyre sand to balance tyres (can be put in through the stem with valve removed) and can supply a special valve that has...
