Am I crazy for considering a black colored vehicle?

I've owned my black 02 Avalanche since it was new and it has been parked outside everyday of it's life. Black is by far the hardest color to keep clean and shows the most dirt and pinstripes - however, a proper waxing will remove 90%+ of the striping. A buff job would take it all out. I don't...

Building a roof rack deck on a GMT800 Suburban Z-71

I can stand on mine just fine - but it isn't wood. Mine is 1" tubing and heavy mesh. Due to wind noise mine is getting a front plate added from the bottom bar to my roof.

    Reputable Shop In SoCal?

SoCal covers a lot of territory. Which area specifically are you in? Did you check in your oil? Smell the exhaust?

    Rtt newb needs help

Of the three you are considering, I would go with the ARB. I did a ton of research and ultimately made a top 2 - Howling Moon and Eezi-Awn because I wanted a tent that I would never have to replace and could use in any conditions. Similar price points, Eezi-Awn heavier duty and a tad better...

    Need Some Quick Input

That's seriously funny. Not sure what I did or said beyond pointing out there is an edit button rather than deleting a post, but ok.

    Need Some Quick Input

Our older daughter's 95 YJ 4.0 seems to run fine but does not like to pass smog in SoCal (could be 33" tires and stock gears) with the NOX requirement. The 2012 plus Jeep's are well out of younger daughter's price range (people are asking stupid money for these things). So - we are targeting...

    My 02 Avalanche NFE

I removed my OnStar panel awhile ago and placed a perfectly sized Wedgie external speaker for the CB in that spot. Here is the best pic of it with my old console set up. I'm wondering if I remove the ashtray pullout altogether if it would fit into that space. Here is the base of the Wedgie...

    My 02 Avalanche NFE

Hmmmmmmmm - I wonder if that would fit where the ashtray is? I've never once used that ashtray for anything.

    My 02 Avalanche NFE

Hi Craig - I hope it gets enough airflow - it does have the vent on the bed side as well. The slider is actually elevated a bit so there is air under the fridge as well. I used some gorilla tape to seal up my bed drains as my biggest problem is not water getting out, but dust getting in. Trying...

    My 02 Avalanche NFE

Job done. Slide mounted, wires run, box installed, fridge placed, power connected, and tie downs locked in. When I hit the power button - NOTHING happened. Swapped it into the wall plug and it worked. Busted out the multimeter and had power coming out of the box - it was just the wrong polarity...

    My 02 Avalanche NFE

Update number 2 - the ARB Fridge/Freezer install. I purchased the ARB 63L fridge/freezer, Transit bag to keep it insulated and protected, the ARB transit bag, the ARB tie down kit, the ARB heavy duty wiring harness, and the ARB screw in connector so the cord doesn't inadvertently vibrate loose...

    My 02 Avalanche NFE

Update time - I've been really busy gathering gear for the next round of mods. I just installed some Air Cargo L-Track on top of one of my caps for storage - will be doing the other 2 caps, but had to get to the new ARB fridge as well. I'm not sure yet what I will carry up there - but just want...

Coleman Addiction.....for pesants. ha ha ha!

We have a Coleman white fuel lantern and a Coleman 3 Burner white fuel stove. I love the lantern and stove, but am considering switching to a Propane 2 burner stove just for the space savings. But, I'm nostalgic so I'm struggling with that one. We also have two old flannel lined Coleman sleeping...
