    I'M BATVAN! ...a 2006 E350 V10 DIY Ujoint Conversion

Thanks for all of the kind words from everyone. I have learned so much from this forum I felt I really needed to give something back and I feel I have a lot to offer. Thanks man. Pretty easy to do and can be done a number of different ways. I plan to do a second one here soon and I'm going to...

    I'M BATVAN! ...a 2006 E350 V10 DIY Ujoint Conversion

Thanks guys, I added/edited some above. I thought the window blank panel had some marketability but its not something I plan on doing. It would be cool if one of our vendors offered one. ;) It could be done a ton of different ways. It could have and internal structure and fiberglass, pop out...

    I'M BATVAN! ...a 2006 E350 V10 DIY Ujoint Conversion

Soon after the bed panels were done I started work on the Vanslide. I wanted a bedslide pretty bad. I even bought one off of Craigslist for "cheap" before I even had my van. Then I had read in Brad's Vandiana thread about his making a ton of noise when unloaded, he didn't have it long...

    I'M BATVAN! ...a 2006 E350 V10 DIY Ujoint Conversion

Now with the bed platform frames in, There are three removable frames. The front is the biggest, it has the ability to be locked in the vertical position (as it is in the pic) or horizontal. When horizontal, this frame cantilevers past the vertical bars it locks into, extending the bed past the...

    I'M BATVAN! ...a 2006 E350 V10 DIY Ujoint Conversion

My interior build really starts on the exterior. I wanted to "stow" my mattress when not in use in front of the rearmost drivers side window. From the drivers seat, while driving, this is the least used window. I also figured, for heating and cooling, the passenger van could use one less window...

Fred the Van. The More We Explore's Adventure Van Build Thread

Just curious, what are the logistics of the top acquisition and install? Having it shipped to you from fiberine? Are you having it painted to match? Also, on another topic. I think your wrong about the value of these vans. At least the correctly optioned ones, 7.3 and v10 will hold their value...

"minimalist ford transit tc" replaced by BIG brother!

I really like the way you did the false or secondary wall type construction just inside the rear doors. Provides a lot of protection to your bed area. I think I would have a black out curtain for where the rear screen is as well as the screen.

    Boise Meet Up

It was a lot of fun, looking forward to more of them. It was nice to meet Brian and see his SMB. I have seen it parked at his house, and have even exchanged waves with him a number of times. As for the rest of them, Brian's wife asked me what the associations were at the table as she felt it...

Introduction and My Ford Fiberine Super Camper build

Are there no ribs to deal with like a regular roof when cutting the hole? I got the impression that some of them had ribs or ridges in the top exterior and wasn't completely smooth. (I would prefer smooth but ribs would be stronger in theory). I have seen the pics of the added interior strips or...

    Pop-tops: are they worth it?

You don't lose any interior space necessarily, your hole cut out in the roof wouldn't be able to go outboard of the reverse flange anyways, and here lies one of those cons of this setup, you still don't get those nice square flat sides still. The opening at the flange area chokes down to say...

    Pop-tops: are they worth it?

As I understand it reverse flange screws on from the inside, the lower lip curves in to sit flat on the van. Regular flange screws on from the outside and the screws are usually covered with that aluminum moulding with a vinyl or rubber strip in it. Most people choose a reverse flange.
