    Mantec Bridging Ladders

Great. How heavy is your 2500HD? My 'expo' vehicle is a Fuso FG so 10k empty and 12k all-up, so not a light rig. I think your design is outstanding and would work great in different weight classes depending on material. Please keep us updated.

    Air seat

Great idea ! And it sounds in my price range. I had bought mechanical suspension seats from a Mitsubishi Montero hoping to mod them to work in my Fuso. No luck, they are just too high. So I guess it is off to steal the innertubes out of my kid's bikes :sombrero:

    SRW's for FUSO

A different conclusion or why I went with 8x16s Greater tire selection up to 41” diameter and 14-15” wide (I have 37”x13”) Greater selection in general and a much better selection of ‘off-road' tread patterns Higher side profile and less belts give a much softer...

Liquid fuel stoves - alternatives to coleman?

Strange this thread posted just as I pulled out an old (1980s) Colman Peak 1 this morning that had been stored from about 1989 for a neighbor's daughter to use. I checked the fuel and got a hiss from the tank (still pressurized). Pump worked great and it works fine on 25 year old fuel after...

BOUNCY SEATS: Who Needs A Pair????

If it is any help I had a pair (2 each) of the bases only, no seats bottoms or backs, shipped from Utah to Northern California and it was right around $60.00

    SRW's for FUSO

I would certainly say the Body Builders Guide is more actual then my measurements. I re-measured today and got 61 inches from drum face to drum face in the rear and 74 inches from drum face to drum face in the front (tape measure accuracy). Using those numbers, this is what I came up with for...

    Mantec Bridging Ladders

WOW that is a great design. :Wow1: I really like the 'hump' design. That and the cables give a super truss layout..outstanding! How are the cables tightened ? Do they self-tighted as you connected the two ladders together, or is there an adjustment after assembly? The takedown feature is great...

    Loading motorcycle ideas?

When I bought my Fuso it had a liftgate on it. As the saying goes "once you have had a liftgate you never go back". Perhaps you could find a reasonable one off a wrecked truck in your area. Mine is pretty much a bolt on with just an electrical connection for the self-contained hydraulic pump.

    SRW's for FUSO

A little off-topic, but it has come up in this tread as to ‘derated GVW'. From day one I have planned to run my Fuso at a target of 20% less then it's GVW of 14,050 lbs. So 11,250 lbs is my target. Will I keep it that low, probably not, but that is my goal. The driving factoring was/is...

    SRW's for FUSO

I was the same way before going to super singles, will the cost justify the results? Obviously from my previous post, I think they are well worth it, with ALL of the benefits (not just 'off-road'). As far as off-road performance I believe that real world experience greatly outweighs all the...

    SRW's for FUSO

I'd throw in that the SRW conversion does much more then give you a single track for off-road. The primary reason I when to SRW was to increase my tire diameter to reduce the engine's RPM in my highway cruise range of 50-60 mph. I could not find (within reason) any tires that would mount on the...

One small beast finish (Defender 90) and a new one to come (Defender 110 Hcpu) !

Any more information on the stove/sink combo? Are there any USA distributors ? If not, who in Europe (Germany would be best for me) sells them ? Both the 90 and 110 are outstand ! :Wow1:
