    DC to DC Chargers

Victron still recommend a 3 or 4 stage charging curve for their GEL batteries.. https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/Datasheet-GEL-and-AGM-Batteries-EN.pdf

    Lowly the Lorry. . .

Id be interested to hear how your new springs ride after you have most of the build weight on the chassis. I have the same 4+1 springs as you with the marquet shocks. We were told the 4+1 was for rear axle load of 6000kgs optimally which is way over my anticipated final weight but they can be...

    Mercedes Overland Building/Tuning

I didn’t really want to chime in here because of my lack of experience. But one other factor with a modern 22.5 construction site profile tire is the technology in them is far far superior, they are tubeless, much harder wearing, etc. Just much tougher. Akela have completed a full...

    In need of water tanks!

I dunno, I very recently priced a custom low profile tank for our garage and it was almost 3000GBP. I Checked around a bit and saw similar pricing in Germany too, ended up going for an off the shelf 350 baffled tank as below. I am also going to make some assumptions that an the shelf tanks from...

    Lowly the Lorry. . .

Hey Sheik! Awesome progress mate! love the workshop! How do you like the pedestal? First impressions? I am trying to find one myself and like everything with building these rigs I am shocked at the prices for every component I try and source ?

Show me your AC/DC disto panels

OK, after hearing back from bluesea (only took them 3 months) a custom panel from them is pretty much out of the question, is was just shy of 4000 euro they wanted for a bunch of circuit breakers and label printing, not going to happen so I need some alternatives.. I have reached out to some...

    1120 AF Build in Norway

This is the first time Im doing anything like this to be honest, I do have a technical background but not in electrical engineering. It is all good fun but I will have certified electrical engineer "tick-off" on everything before hooking up to my AC distro panel..

    1120 AF Build in Norway

80% of the Victron kit has arrived (I have everything apart from the MPPT and panels) ? I know its expensive but the peace of mind costs I suppose, plus it nice having all the components talk to each other.. The main reason for going for the lynx system is the built in fusing and communications...

    Layout dilemma....

I am not even sure this is an issue, we will be using outbound windows and their frames seem pretty solid.. maybe I should bring this up with the engineers anyway to see what they say. The chassis and the box mesh is being added to the CAD now so we will get a physics model analysis..

    Layout dilemma....

fixed the dimensions on the seating, just need to decide on the platform height now (which will dictate window levels). Right now with a 300mm platform height and our chosen seat arrangement we have 130cm of head room, So we think we can safely increase the platform by 10cm... Question, are...

    Layout dilemma....

Thanks for all the feedback guys, we are doing away with the overheads and bumping the platform by 50-100mm :D

    Layout dilemma....

Appreciate the feedback billiebob! That is exactly our design brief when it came the the interior (the likes of architecture from Håkon Mjelva really inspires us). We have exactly 400mm :D We have to adjust the U-shape thou.
