I agree about the tailgate. I like how your tailgate is wide like that but I don't think there is enough structural integrity to handle the load of a side lifting lid.
For my tailgate I was planning on making it a bit smaller so I can make a "rectangular box" on each side with each corner...
I think hinged on the driver side opening up to the passenger side... For safety in case you pull over on the side of the road your back won't be to traffice

Hey don, what size c channel did you use around the lip? It appears the lip is about 1" already.

Haha thanks!
I have a few Q's for you. What did you do to your top rail to match up the lid to? I was thinking of doing a "C" channel around the top to match up to the up.
What do you have mounted up on the rear driver side of the trailer, another 10lb propane?
If there is anything you...
Thanks again,
I plan on painting the trailer the same color code (Toyota 1d4) to match my truck. I received a quote from a local body shop for $800 to do seal, prime, paint and bodywork to match. It seems like a good price and they do great work. I plan on taking it in after I finish the Nerf...

I just wanted to post up and say I ordered a trailer lid from chris about 3 weeks ago for my 416 and I stated that I was going to come and pick it up myself this weekend while I was up in Tahoe. He said no problem so I paid a deposit for half the lid and I would pay the rest upon pickup. I've...
Thank you!
The panhard did make contact, that's why I pulled it and had my buddy put 4 20 degree bends in it. Now it clears just fine.
The knob on the shock just controls compression
