    Ursa Minor Porch Lights

I ran my wires under the tent by unscrewing the white plastic base, and sliding them through. I did cut the outer rubber off of the wires for the pass through to make them thinner, being careful to avoid cutting the shielding on the two wires inside. I then taped them up with some electrical...

    Ursa Minor Porch Lights

After some measuring of my awning brackets and the lights in the store I realized that the bolt spacing on these lights was perfect for a no drill installation. I simply bent some flat washers with a hammer and my vice to use as backers for bolting them up. If you have a top that has the newer...

    Ursa Minor Porch Lights

I thought I'd Start a little thread on a DIY project that I just completed. I was recently in a Harbor Freight store and noticed these lights. https://www.harborfreight.com/12v-utilityrock-white-led-light-2-pk-57205.html I thought they'd work perfect for porch lights on the Ursa Minor top. I...

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

You could definitely save money copying my design and building them yourself. It isn't rocket science or anything. It took me a couple tries to get them how I liked them, but if you consider your time is free and want to spend a day or two figuring it out and order the materials this can be...

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

I did the same thing with some simple hardware store weatherstripping. I just pulled the soundbar down and applied it the full length of the front edge between the top and the bar. That noise will drive you insane!

    Refrigerators

Sorry, I haven't been getting updates on this thread for some reason! I was surprised to see how many responses I've had. Thank you all for that! I did a little youtube watching and besides just about every overland channel promoting their new free Iceco fridges as the one to own the most...

Ursa Minor Camper Interior Cabin Build Thread

Yeah anything aftermarket is going to have to come from an enthusiast for sure, there isn't much of a market. Are there any owners in the upholstery business out there who want to invest some time for very little return? I doubt it and until then your solution is the best I've seen.

Ursa Minor Camper Interior Cabin Build Thread

It looks much nicer than mine! Great idea on the tent lofts. I used some surplus magazine pouches, other miscellaneous repurposed pouches and an old nylon belt strung from bolt to bolt to hang them from. They do the job but they’re not that aesthetically pleasing. I might have to revisit this...

    My first Jeep, a 1983 CJ7!

All accurate except you have a dana 30 front axle. The dana 35 was a c clip axle used in the back of the yj wrangler. They started life as an amc 15 axle and then dana got the design from amc. The dana 35 had a bad reputation for spitting the axle and wheel out when you add bigger tires. I see...

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

Okay guys, As promised I am revealing my Hinge Tamers for the Ursa Minor tops. These will fit the JKU and JLU tops. They are built out of formed Kydex sheets and include replacement stainless steel bolts and washers. I worked on a couple prototypes before I was happy, and with the learning...

    Land Rover ideas for Jeeps

One thing is for certain, competition is good for the consumer. It drives down prices and encourages innovation! I'm happy with my UM top, but it wasn't cheap that's for sure!

    Land Rover ideas for Jeeps

I had a CJ-8 for a short time and wanted to do something similar, but it was the wrong time in life and I didn't have the budget. I fell in love with the dormobile conversions the first time I came across one and I'd love to own a series land rover setup with one, but the prices are astronomical...

It would be interesting to know when they started adding them to the tops. Mine it two years old, number 408 and doesn't have one. It does give it more of a finished look.

    Easy clean up meals?

We always carry a little Weber lightweight gas grill (the cheap one). I like to premake and freeze breakfast burritos for my daughter and I. Our favorite use the largest flour tortillas we can find, potatoes O’Brien, two sausage links, scrambled eggs for her, over easy fried for me, and country...

    Refrigerators

My wife has been wanting to upgrade from a cooler to a fridge this year if things go well and I’m completely clueless when it comes to the portable fridges. The common brand names seem pretty pricey and there are some others like Iceco that appear to be the same thing for a lower price. I...

Ursa Minor Camper Interior Cabin Build Thread

I seen the pole mount base on the website and I might order it if ordering something else just to satisfy my ocd, but I’ve never had an issue with my support pole. It is a nice addition though for a problem that probably doesn’t exist.

The brackets from ironman can be secured with padlocks if wanted. That just keeps the honest guy honest though IMO. I'm of the opinion that if someone wants the awning I'd rather them slip it off and go then break my top trying to pry it off. My awning hangs on an extra set of brackets in my...

    Jeep Wrangler JK Lifts Discussion

And that is what they're designed to do and excel at! I had a set in my JKU for the same reason before the lift went in.
