 :clapsmile Very cool Capt! Does the 20 gallons include drinking water? Or do you guys take really long showers  Is water quality affected by the heating element as far as taste and odor?

Brian894x4’s Land Cruiser FZJ80 build thread.

Looking great Brian! I'm jealous...I need to get my dual batteries together. About how much did all the oem stuff cost? Here's the link to the said arb bracket, you'll need the air manifold as well. I need to do this part first because the po mounted the arb where the aux battery belongs...

    FZJ80 brake bleeding hell

Good luck, I hope this solves your problem. I was intending to flush my brakes again just to be sure I get all the muck out, but after reading this I think I'll let it be for a while. Let us know...

    Rear drawer systems

The tan costs more because they have to redo the fabric, from african outback it comes in the standard charcoal marine grade fabric. I have the tan interior but went with the darker color to hide dirt. But I think you have the gray interior anyways? Yes they have to be shipped by freight...

    FZJ80 brake bleeding hell

Oh man, I hope you're able to figure it out. I saw the nipple at the LSPV but only used the four corners to bleed. I didn't refer to the fsm, I just had somebody at the peddle and pumped it until clear fluid came out (while keeping reservoir full). Once I felt it was good enough, he...

I'm ready for that, I just want some low end back! I wanted to hear that. I ordered jack stands and they should be here tue/wed. Then I can do the flush. I think I'm going to try redline atf. I flushed the brakes yesterday, eewww weeee. It was like I was flushing out a dark ale! Now it...

Back to your 35's and stock gearing question... It's sluggish, I haven't done any hills with it but I'm sure it's super slow. On the street it's not horrible, just not quick. I'm sure the regear will do the trick. Here's the thread about the mobil 1, also the writeup for flushing the ps...

I wussed out and had toyota do the radiator and tranny flush. I hear that two gallons of the red stuff is required. I should have done the radiator flush myself but chose not to. Tomorrow I'll bleed my brakes and flush the ps fluid. I plan on doing the ps flush using the engine off method...

Maintenance & Mods So far I have flushed the radiator and transmission. The radiator had red and green coolant in it, but no signs of deposits. Now it's filled with red toyota coolant and distilled water. The tranny fluid looked pretty red already but I wanted it done anyways. This...

Well, it's said and done. Last weekend I traded my 02 DC Taco for a 1995 TLC. A month ago I was PM'd by a gentleman from SLC, UT for a trade over on mud and after lengthy discussions and many emails we came to an agreement. No, it wasn't an even trade, there was money involved. I think we are...

    Alternator Question

I agree that odyssey batteries are great, optima red tops are good as well. Be wary of the yellow and blue tops. The odyssey batteries are well rounded, as far as starting capacity and deep discharges. That's why they don't have different 'colors' like optima does. I don't recall exactly...

    Alternator Question

When doing research for my dual battery setup, I also looked into upgrading the alternator. And after talking to the guys at www.perfectswitch.com and a few other electrical guru's I was steered away from aftermarket alternators. Mostly because of deception, apparently alternator manuf. may...
