Lets see some full size pictures...

For sure the wrong era but it fits pretty well considering how tough it is to put a cap on a flatbed. I hate how the cab windows do not line up but the spare tire does make it more aerodynamic. I got it for cheap so after a few more uses, out comes the saw. The camper make is Kamper Kabin...

Lets see some full size pictures...

Here are a few pics of my 2000 f350 7.3 diesel, the camper is a early 60's era Kampers Kabin made in Van Nuys. Just painted the flatbed, put in an extra battery, Puma air, water pump, and next comes a water tank and hot water heater.

    Extra Tall Options

http://breezerwindows.com/breezer-options.html This may help some of you out. I was going to do it but my camper does not even come close to lining up to my rear window.

    ExPo's 2000 7.3 Excursion Build

Teh-Viking. I have dual alts as well and cleaned the tube in place, I think, total pain. I have always wondered if 2 alts would affect mpg. This is my tuner... http://www.ecddiesel.com/power-hungry-hydra-chip-for-ford.html. Fuel sipping was not listed on there but it was in the software...

    ExPo's 2000 7.3 Excursion Build

Teh-Viking - I use the fuel sipping setting when up to speed and on the flats otherwise I am usually in the same setting as you. Without the the gear-vendor engaged, 315 BFGs KOs on wide rims, 3.73 limited slip, I am at about 70 as well. I don't have any clean numbers for mpg with this current...

    ExPo's 2000 7.3 Excursion Build

http://www.dieselsite.com/highpressureoilcrossoverline.aspx Do this cheap and easy mod, it really smooths out the idle. When I got my 7.3 it already had a gearvendor installed. I really don't know much about this system but it is pretty cool. So far at least. When I am cruising down the...

ViAir 400P-A, Air Zenith OBD2, or Puma PD1006 Air Compressors

I'm putting in a Puma today actually. I did all the research and decided on the Puma because I have the space and many people say it runs air tools just fine being 100% Duty cycle. It is slightly slower for airing up tires but we are talking about a couple minutes at most for all four tires...

On Board Hot Water Shower System

I had almost the same system as the OP in my old van and I putting together the same system in my truck now. It worked great even if not using the heater aspect. A couple notes to keep in mind would be to. 1. Plan on using 90 degree fittings coming out of the bottom of the eco temp if space...

    The perfect tire.

Probably for the same reason motor-sailors never caught on. They didn't motor or sail particularly well. What if they could make a tire go from hwy to AT to mud depending on PSI? Kind of what would happen with the tire you have there.

    Going out Solo, Recovery options.

Don't laugh at me about my electric mtn bike but it gets about 20ish miles off-road range with pedal assist, maybe 10mi full electric, and much more on the pavement. I call it my life raft but it gets used to run into town, go to trail heads, peel off a hill for a hike. Great tool for the solo...

    Moving up from a Frontier.

I agree with Nathaniel. Look for a pre 2003, low use, 7.3 Ford or 5.9 dodge diesel and be done. 190k on my 7.3 and she purrs, gets 17mpg cruising at 75 with a lot of gear. I can put my camper on, hook up the boat, and pass people going up mountains, while still getting double digit gas...

    Pre-Emission Full-sized Trucks

Not even. i picked up a 2000 7.3 with about 170k about a year ago and no problems whatsoever. You pay more for a pre emmision 7.3 than a later model 6.0 for a reason. Finding one that has not been worked over is the hard part but they made a million of them so you can find good ones. Found...

    Advice on 7.3 Purchase

Love my 2000 7.3. Was going to get a little car to run around in but love the truck too much, the car would just sit. Real easy to work on and a truck load of good aftermarket options for the truck and engine. At that price you cannot go wrong.

Show me really cool flatbed ideas for my StuperDuty

2000 f350 6.5' flatbed That is a 50's camper I just restored on the back. The bed boxes hold the house battery, water pump, etc. love having a flatbed, no paint to worry about and you can bolt whatever you want to it.

Need ideas for my new f350 build.

Here is what I am working on. Recently found the old 50's camper on Craigslist for just a few hundred bucks. It fits my 6.5' flatbed perfectly and is really good condition despite decades of dust. There are some longbed Pop up Alaskans for sale in CA last I checked for just a few hundred bucks.
