I will help out here. His solar panel will charge his batteries for all of his lighting needs. He will end up with LED floodlights all around and (I think) lighting for the interior of his boxes.
The generator is going to be for charging the batteries when the solar panel doesn't do the job...
I would have to take measurements tonight and get back to you. It is quite a bit shorter than the FJ. I had to drill some holes in the ladder to adjust it and make it shorter.
Ok you don't realize how big this thing is until you actually stand next to it and see it in person.
Case in point...
Here's my buddy standing next to it, he is 6'2"...
Seriously this thing is tall! So Tall you need a step stool to work on it! :D
Is that a Roof Top Tent A/C Unit??? I...
Ok here are some pics...
It was raining in Arkansas when we got there to pick it up :(
Got it home and mounted up the old Roof top tent...
In order to clear the 33" tire, Robert had to build risers onto the mounting bars. This made me need some much longer hardware...
The...
I am glad you picked up on my sarcasm.
Honestly the Leaf springs are just regular 1750 lb. 25" Trailer Springs. They are heavy enough for highway trailer use but this is an offroad trailer and are more being used in this scenario for placement of the axle as well as springs. The Coil-overs...
Sure. The wife told me had to keep it within a certain budget (this trailer to be exact) so that is the trailer I ordered. Due to my company doing a large volume of business through Northern Tool I receive Quarterly Credits to use on whatever I like, call it kick backs if you will. I just had...
Ok time for an update. I was supposed to pick up this trailer last weekend but the painters decided to screw up when they painted it. Robert (outlander Trailers) just picked it up after they corrected the Paint job last night. He will be finishing the trailer out today and sending pics...
You have never had a drop in liner before have you? If you want to retain the factory paint in the bed, a drop in liner is that absolute last thing you want to do. It will scratch the heck out of the factory paint. I would take your truck to a place that can do professional color matching bed...
If we are talking price tags, my almost base model Sherpa II RL with upgraded tires and suspension is going to be under $4K. Now it is really hard to talk me into a trailer that is twice as expensive when I was working within a budget.
Thermarests are normally sold at places like REI. I think Bass Pro or Cabela's might carry them also.

Have fun!
I have been sleeping in a Mombasa Roof Top Tent for the past year and a half while camping and he is right, the two inches of foam don't quite do it. I always take a long my Thermarest and throw it down in there too if I want to sleep in total comfort. :)
Well my trailer is a pretty basic trailer. I wanted a lot more but the wife put down a budget and I had to stick to it, so I am sure he could build mine a lot quicker than yours without all the extra special order items.
I have no clue how much it will weigh. That is my plan is to just add...
Box Mock up
Shocks Mounted
I will be mounting my Mombasa roof top tent on top. :D
Here is a pic of the Tow Vehicles, the Taco is my true wheeling rig (the beater) while the FJC is for running stuff like the Alpine Loop in Colorado and light trails in comfort...
