i believe the weight rating for roof racks is for when the in motion. They can handle much more weight when stationary.

correct huge difference from what lifetime has told me. From what i remember the lifetime product does not set up as quickly, much smaller and different tent material than the Jumping Jack. I believe Lifetime designed the costco version and licensed the jumping jack.
