The Diahatsu Scat! ;-)
Very cool, I've wanted one of those mini LCs for a long time.
Wow, that's a pretty high price... easily double what a similar J40 would go for.
Great design evldave, thanks a lot for sharing it and the links to the pieces to build it :D
Easier/cheaper than getting a "smarter solenoid" might be simply having an "on delay" relay controlling the solenoid's switched power supply.
If it were set to switch on power to the solenoid 5...
Very cool man, Atitlan is one of the most beautiful areas of C.A. What a great place to spend a month :-D
BTW, hybiscus tea in Spanish is Agua de Jamaica (Jamaican water - pronounced "huh-my-kuh") made from 'flor de Jamaica". Jicama is a root/tuber, aka the Mexican Turnip. :-)
FJ40 = F series engine = gasoline
BJ40 = B series engine = diesel (very rare in the US, they were not sold here.)

Great looking LC. Best of luck with the sale!
It sounds like you've decided what what want and done your homework on how to get it.

Which is this person's vehicle...
I saw an ad for Solid Works in a recent issue of Machine Design.com's magazine, referencing their series www.letsgodesign.tv in which they design a vehicle similar to yours.
:-P
The vehicle is coming along nicely.... I noticed the 'joy stick' in your hand; I'm eager to see the control system...
A locker would probably get you the most bang for your buck... but once you get stuck with it, you'll really be stuck if you don't have recovery equip.
Is 1/2 litre how much it is below the full mark by the time of the scheduled change? Being down 1/2 liter every change doesn't sound bad...

That Taco is a great rig btw. I followed your build thread as you built it. It's a...
I've had hot sauces go "bad"... most recently last fall. I had them sitting on a window sill in the kitchen. It was a particularly hot summer in a rental house with a bad AC system, so they probably got to 100*F during the day (over 100F outside) or higher due to sun exposure. Most of the...
