Hi All,
I am thinking about purchasing a Planar 2D heater from these guys.
Has anyone dealt with them?
Is the 2D heater large enough for a high top extended that has floor, ceiling, and some sidewall insulation. I am thinking down to zero F.
I am questing there would be no warranty with...
HI,
I am contemplating a hard-side for my DC Tacoma, a custom build like the one the guy built on a Tacoma not long ago, but how much does it limit where you can go? Would the Maze or the Alpine loop trash the camper, how about the White Rim?

I have a 2003 DC Tacoma that had the anti-lock brake light come on about 6 mo. ago. The e-locker does not function as well.
I had the auto shop teacher do a diagnostics check and it showed rear speed sensor was bad.
My question is: can a check be done to the system with jumper wires or other...
Hi all,
What is the min. amout of clearance that I can get away with when putting a flatbed on the frame of an '03 Tacoma DC. I am currently running firestone air bags. I want to build a camper on the flat bed.
Thanks
I am starting to put together some preliminary designs for a pop-up pickup camper. I have seen several slide in designs.
I was wondering why no one is building a frame up build?
Does anyone know what the weight of the short bed on a ’03 Tacoma weights. It seem like with a frame up build the...
Hi,
I will be headed out to Silverton on a 9 day guy trip. We will be traveling from Indiana in a stock DC tacoma on "e" range tires. We would like to fly fish across Colorado and then base camp in the Silverton area.
Any advise on spot to fish or trails to run?
Thanks for your thoughts.

Anyone ever hear of a '03 Tacoma with a v-6 throwing a rod at 75K? My Bro' in law came over for Christmas and gave me the bad news. I also have an '03 and fully expected this thing to go 300K.
Hi,
Can anyone give a safe "standard" fording depth for a stock, DC '03. TRD Tacoma.
What components (ranked by water depth) would be at risk & what counter measures can be taken?
Thanks, Martin
Hi All,
I am starting to train my daughter how to shoot and was wanting to use my 452 with iron sights.
When I was growing up, back in the old days, we were alway told not to dry fire a rifle/shot gun. Have things changed? have better metalurgy and mfg. made this an old dads tail?
Do they...
I need some help picking some inexpensive surf casting gear for the OBX. I do not want to spend much because we only get there at best once a year at worst every other year. The last time I used Uncle Bruno's 6' bait casting rod and real and it did not work so well.
I was at Cabela's and saw...
I know there is a switch in some '03 models as my manual shows how to turn off and on the passanger side air-bag but non in the DC. Is there a proper way to do this?

We have been able to squeeze bikes, camping gear, 3 kids, my wife & I into a 03 Double cab Tacoma but now we have a 55 lb. Airedale that will be coming with us and I just do not think we can make the fit. I know you are probably thinking Beverly Hillbillies and you are not far off. I built a...
I have a toyota pto winch that the cable is shot. I am wanting to put this on my 1965 fj45 pick up. It will not be hardcore off-roaded but I do plan to us it mostly to pull trees when cutting fire wood. I want to go stock size and lenght, use normal shear pin size.
Thanks for any input.

I am starting on a set of sliders for my truck and I believe most people use 1.5" dia. pipe for them. My problem is I only have access to 1.25 dia. pipe bending dies. Will the 1.25" stuff work if I put more cross tie pipes between the two longer slider pipes. Also what size (width and thickness)...
Hi all,
At about 70K I had a check engine light come on. At the time I was getting above 19 mpg back and forth to work (if I was really easy on it) and up to 25 on longer road trips at 55 mph. I drive like grand ma but it saves fuel. Anyway, Two dofferent parts stores computers said it was a...
My family and I just returned from our first 1000 mile trip in our (new to us) 2003 DC. We have taken similar distance trips in a Volvo 240 station wagon. We travel at night so the kids age 2, 7 & 9 sleep a big part of the way. Prior to buying the Tacoma I measured the back seat and the Tacoma...
Hi,
I am new to this forum thing. I have been into Cruisers for 20+ years. I started with a '77 40 and now have a '65 45 pickup.
I am now to the point of being able to take the family on summer long trips in North America. I have purchased a '03 Double cab 4X4 TRD. I would like to keep it as...
