Curious how things have progressed since moving to construction from analysis. Side note on the AL frame, I would have put the X members the other direction in the cab-over section so they are in compression instead of tension.
I don't have any issues raising my roof but also an early model. Both GF and Daughter can do it with a slight nudge and it pops up. It should not be difficult to replace. I replaced the door with longer ones to clear my head better and was a 5 minute job. It takes longer to determine the right...
Mine slides very hard for one stage, other stage is fine. I have cleaned and looked at all drag points but have not found the issue. Next step is removing the kitchen box entirely to get a better look. So replacing rivets with bolts also in order.
Update to our Mission....been out several different trips and heading to WV for the long weekend. Hopefully get a full week away yet this fall.
Changed out the rear door struts for longer so we don't hit our heads on the handle. Been very happy with that $50 and 10 minutes.
Next fixing the...
Sorry all as I am slow to check this thread lately. I have a different faucet but similar issue. And the faucet leaks underneath since it is the wrong one. I don't have the hot water but this is a Hot/cold faucet so when turning on the water, cold comes out the hot line below. A couple attempts...
I have as well as insulation on the exposed sides. Another summer project. Plan is an inside and outside locker vent (marine SS) with window netting sandwiched when mounted. Locate behind the tire to protect from road debris. The doors would be another option to install. My batteries are in the...
I'm am not a fan of weight like fuel on a roof rack. I did some calcs for my Expo presentation (need to find and can quote) but at 60+lbs for 10gals, that's about the same as a 1-2 inch lift or bigger tires. And the windage. If you can mount on the fridge box, much better. or off the tailgate...
where ever and whatever we can. More down by Greenbrier and New River Gorge. But need to find quiet spots to escape too. I don't recall all the locations I did map recon for but some closer to home so we can hit the locations easy on a Friday night. Following the river and railroad tracks from...
I priced a long range tank for my Nissan Frontier, which would be brought in from Australia, $1695 plus $350 shipping. I think I will find another solution and jerry cans for now.
Not working much on the trailer until the weather warms up and dries out so I can spend time outside. Anxious to get camping and playing with the trailer to fix a few things.
BTW I believe we will have three on the East Coast by summer time. Any others please chime in.
1) Me in Ohio
2) Fla
3)...
I have a later trailer but still with the two piece door. I am not a fan of the one piece since it needs to open much more to clear your head. Our top piece is about my head level now and the lower flap shows even lower. I am only 5'9". So I may mess with different struts to make it extend...
Happy and looking forward to getting out again before year's end. Making a list of projects to play with. Adding storage above the fridge and storage dividers inside.
Yes he is in production. I hope to get mine in the next few weeks. We will be at Expo East with it or can share the unit in the Ohio area if interested.
any East Coast Owners or will I be the first? where is home?
Thanks, That helps a bunch and moves it down the list of things to tackle when she comes home.
Thanks for all the pics. We have a unit under build starting now. We worked with Mark on a number of minor changes to match our style of camping so looking forward to see it come together and get out this year still. Similar sentiment with tired with climbing off the ground for late night visits...
