If you have a standard tent that opens to the side, you can fit 2-3 person tent on the rack and chop everything behind the wind fairing and its perfect and keeps your MPGs up. You are absolutely correct. Everyone listing rear gears for it lists the M226 for some reason. What I have been looking at is importing a YTDD25 rear differential for a Manual Transmission Pathfinder out of Europe or Australia. This will get me the 3.69 gear ratio, and fit the many Locking Diffs...

It did with the R200. I can get the 3.69 out of the G35x and its pretty much a direct swap but no locker option.

What kind of fuel mileage did you get with that on your Ranger?

Hi All, I am looking for an R230 3.69 used in the Non-USDM 2.5YTTD Nissan Pathfinder with a 6-Speed Manual transmission. Does anyone have one or have a good importer or foreign rebuilder to help with this request? TIA

I had this same issue. Turned out the motor was fine and the clutches in the diff were worn enough to not be able to engage and cause the fault. I ended up ordering a new/refurbished unit from Texas and all was fine afterwords.

No the Frontier/Xterra never changed. It was only the Pathfinder to make room for the US variant V8 and the Non-US Variant 3.0L Diesel.
