are you using the Red top battery for your starting batter and some sort of deep cell for the other the red tops are not that good at being depleted and recharge like the yellow top and blue tops are.

sorry to here that your kit was no good. but as of now mine is still working flawlessly and have had no problems with it so far only time will tell if it was worth it but as of now have no regrets with buying it. if you would let us know if they exchange it or give you a refund would be great...

o forgot here are some the pic of the second battery location. so here is some good news about the trickle charger when i put it in I was not sure it would charge both batteries without me turning on the solenoid manually but the solenoids was able to pic up the charge and turn on...

never really said that it was the same but it does the exact same thing that the national luna kit does for less than half the price all the components in this kit are good quality and work well. its not that hard to make a set up like this and with a little time and some money you can backwards...

ya im am pretty sure on the distance as i was in in santa rosa on a hill and talking to some one in Rohnert park which is like 10 to 15 depending on what side he was on but that was under ideal setting i am guessing that i would get about 2 to 5 miles on the trails with it but that is about it...

ok here are the of my antenna and the the mount, for now i am using one of those 1/2 of the merrier from radio shack it works well. along with one of there wip antennas the combo works well.
