Who's lining up to buy a 2023 Sequoia and NOT a 2022 Tundra?

Ah...I see how it works now. Not a true mechanical locker but electronically controlled clutches. Kind of like Honda's VTM-4. Those work fine until they overheat from slipping.

Who's lining up to buy a 2023 Sequoia and NOT a 2022 Tundra?

Maybe it's parts shortage, but right now you can't configure an Expedition with the selectable locker on Ford's website. Not as a stand alone option or as part of a package.

Who's lining up to buy a 2023 Sequoia and NOT a 2022 Tundra?

1st and 2nd gen Sequoia and LC since the 80 series had a true center diff (i.e. gears like front or rear diff), so you could run 4hi or even 4lo on dry pavement with the center diff unlock. And I thought 4th gen 4runner and Limited trim 5th gen 4runner also uses a true center diff. Other 5th...

I guess they don't offer it anymore. Only the eLSD.

Who's lining up to buy a 2023 Sequoia and NOT a 2022 Tundra?

I thought it was only a limited slip. I don't see it on Ford's website in the US.

Who's lining up to buy a 2023 Sequoia and NOT a 2022 Tundra?

Opps...thanks for the typo correction :). Packaging the hybrid battery was probably the reason the LC300 and LX600 isn't available with the hybrid out the gate. It probably compromise the cargo volume in the smaller LC and LX too much. Not as big of a compromise in the larger Sequoia.

Who's lining up to buy a 2023 Sequoia and NOT a 2022 Tundra?

Third row can fold flat like LC300 and LX600 because of the placement of the hybrid battery.

Am i reading this correctly? 2016 taco still has rear drum brakes...

"Then discs are better... because... speed." Talk about taking things out of context. But I guess that's what you do when you don't understand a particular concept. Why do those vehicles have solid thin disc in the rear instead of ventilated thick disc like the front? Except for powerful...

Am i reading this correctly? 2016 taco still has rear drum brakes...

I don't really care about your criticism of Toyota. I sure Toyota don't give a $hit either since people don't really put their money where mouth is. I'm just correcting errors with facts. No where did I say that Toyota is superior. No where did I say that drum brakes are superior. Heck, I...

Looks you don't really understand or have selective reading. I've already explained why discs are used in the front. And that post was directly to you. Sorry if it was beyond your reading level.

Oh...you mean lockup, like when you're trying to remove the drum during maintenance? That lockup? Ever heard of frozen calipers? That happens quite a bit too. $hit happens. Yeah...they lose braking power when they are overheated. So do discs. Discs are used in the front because of better...

Am i reading this correctly? 2016 taco still has rear drum brakes...

Sportscars and motorcycles has discs because of heat generation. Brakes convert kinetic energy to heat. Speed has a greater impact on the amount of kinetic energy than mass. Sportscars and motorcycles can get go very fast. If you understood how kinetic energy works you would've understood...

Am i reading this correctly? 2016 taco still has rear drum brakes...

Less fade: True, but rear brakes on front-heavy pickup don't generate enough heat to cause fade. Less risk of lockup: ABS Greater ability to modulate: Agreed, mainly because of that self-energizing ability. But how any pickup drivers are racers and care about modulating their brake pedals on...
