Personally the drone would get to me. My Baja was loud and it was great for short trips, but annoying for longer trips.
I hope any passengers going with you appreciate it as much as you do.

I was just thinking that your deadline had to be approaching.
Totally attainable, but not a lot of room to dawdle either.

It is a used one and the guy said he did the Belleville washer and bolt upgrade already.
I do plan on pulling it apart to verify that everything is still holding up fine as it has had about 15 months of use on it. If I find anything funny I'll replace the washers and bolts with the upgraded...
A little bit of inspiration for you. This guy is currently out there running the Dakar rally.

The 944 trailing arms just require using the Type 1 bushing (torsion bar mount). Here's a pic to show that setup FWIW
If you've got a Ghia setup up front I've heard of a good brake bias with those paired with the NA 944 rears, I think that is when using the 944 master cylinder IIRC...
Also, if you didn't know, you can swap Porsche 944 rear arms and brakes really easily (only a bushing swap needed). The fronts can be swapped on as well, but you need to machine some spacers into the 944 hubs to install the beetle bearings.
