I'm glad to see the option of having a Hummer is once again alive and well. I wonder if hard doors will be available as an option? The great thing about this is being able to start from scratch with engine and transmission. I've talked with Predator Hummer about their engine and trans options...
I often wondered about these roof racks in terms of how many/how much weight can they and the roof with stand. I weigh about 250lbs and would feel a bit scared to get up there.
I'm well aware of Lynch Hummer and I will check out your other links. The reason I started the thread is because there is no substitute for first hand experience. In the end the decision will be mine, but I like to hear the likes and dislike of each.

Ok, I should have thought of that. I know how newbs are treated in other forums. For me the only Hummer is the H1. As for Rovers, I'm pretty much open to all of them except the Freelander.
