    My factory payload with the 20" Firestone tires is at 1400 lbs. I haven't weight it yet but estimate it being around 1800 lbs loaded.     So far I've kept the tailgate on but will remove it for the hunting trip to save weight. I framed it with 1/4" aluminum angle and bolted it to the TC 1/4" thick 4" flat stock and carriage bolts. I used chains with an eyebolt to support the other end.
