    Wolf's Ongoing Discovery Build Thread

Bah, I think he just wanted an excuse to show off his "original design" Lucky 8 glass that no one will be able to get anymore sinc L.R. made him change it. :-( I Swear AxeAngel is right...I think he got the blackout and the compass from them...I remember that company name....I am sure he will...

    Engine temperature with AC on?

sounds like the wiring is wrong....does the guage have a seperate lead for the backlight?...if so try wiring that into one of the dash lights that can be dimmed/brightened with dash control...that should correct the problem (best guess...it just sounds like its crossfeeding into the guage side...

    Two pictures, just two...

lolz...I just googled redneck land rover and ran across them...The other 9 were not quite as gut wrenchingly, make you want to kick pupies bad (actually the had a G4 challenge in the mix), but they are located here if you want/dare view them...

    Disco II Armor

Just take it to a local muffler shop and have them weld it on...Streetwolf did that with his front QT Diff, I think it cost him all of $15 and they did an excellent job...They do all the custom exhaust work/welding for Eddie Hill (if you don't know who that is..>Google him), so we figured we...

    Wolf's Ongoing Discovery Build Thread

BURN_E, To answer your question...technically yes, it would be more effective, but the mounting locations on his truck are somewhat restricted for a magnet mount...ideally you would want to mount it in the top center of the vehicle, which is covered by the rack...the location its mounted is a...

I did notice with my droid, it would wig out I think from signal overload if I left it in automatic (I attribute this to the booster trying to boost both the 1x and 3G signals to the same level causing the phone to not know which one to use), but if I set it to home only it seemed to work much...

    window broke, need fix

what I meant to say, was when you can see the stress being put on it, can you see anything else flexing etc that would be putting the stress on it? might help to take the door panel on the other side off and watch all aspects of its mechanism in operation closely to see if something is amiss.

    Hi-lift on rear bumper

To OP, All the griping aside, I suggest getting this: http://www.hi-lift.com/accessories/jack-protector.html It says it's waterproof, but does leave the non-mechanism end open on the 60" model...either way like was previously said...inspect and keep lubricated regularly even with the above...

    window broke, need fix

hmm...sounds like something is out of whack...have you tried tack welding it and watching it in action to see what may be causing the undo stress on it?
  16. JEFFSGTP

    window broke, need fix

I say go for it if you have the welding know how to do it...cheap fix and will probably outlive the rest of the truck if you weld it up real good...while your at it there is a bump stop area that stops the window at the right place when it goes down that wears out...weld a nut or something on...

Largest Battery in stock Disco location

Optima Blue Tops are a very snug fit as well (Street Wolf's Rig...he is going to kill me for posting a dirty engine bay pic...lol): Plus they have wing nuts for easy add-on power wires without messing with stock battery cable :-) Oh and LandyAndy....That is some of the nicest/best after-market...

How hard is the ARB bumper install?

That is why you take the time to box in/replace the crush cans so that doesn't happen. Street Wolfs are welded up and painted to match, not that you can see them from outside anyway. the ARB is an EXCELLENT bumper...I cant stand the look of the RTE and like bumpers. I want a big Heavy Duty...

No disco web is full of land rover upity dooshbag owners..them and the owner of that forum can go $#)^%& themselves...most of the ones are here seem to have a bit more common sense and this forum doesn't allow the blatant attacks on other members that Dooshweb is famous for...as I said...it was...
