The reservation system is a mess though. Perhaps it's just too popular and there aren't enough campsites. I don't see where either political party has any interest in fixing it. Getting a site in a popular park is just not possible. Half the time we just stay at the Holiday Inn.
I think they have already discovered it. We camped at the Badland Boone Dock campsite in South Dakota a few days ago and there were at least 100 groups in a 3 mile stretch of the overlook area. No out houses or anything. Lots of fancy overlander type rigs though.
Anyone have any thoughts about keeping that front window on the camper clean from bugs? There are a couple other rigs with a similar situation (Megatron for one). I also worry about rocks, etc. It's nice having the open view, but still. Of course, the popup units don't have to worry about this.
One of the good (or bad) things about the EC before was that they didn't offer much customization. I think their quality was pretty good. As you say, who knows what each upfitter will do. I would have rather seen them try to find an upfitter who could have just figured out how to make them all...
Well, I see the EC website has been updated. Sounds like they are looking for van builders and others to finish the interior of EC provided shells, at least for now. Will be interesting to see who steps up as the first builders.

Quigley was going to have the Gen 2 Transit 4x4 at the Flagstaff show last weekend. Just wondered if anyone had a chance to look at it during the show.
I got an email from them, but it's just a teaser so far. The picture looks interesting though. Might be a non diesel option for van lifers looking for a bit more off roady.
Looks like the F350 Rexrover is no longer. They have a new unit called the Trekker on a Ram 5500. I am assuming it will be at the usual $495 price that most of the other are hoping for. Seems to me that someone should be able to buy a chassis cab fairly well equipped for $100,000. Is there...
Looks like inventory is still not flying off the lots like it did during Covid. They are trying to clear out the 2024 and must still have too many 2025s on the lots.
Thanks for the detailed response Chadx. Sounds like it would be much easier if you had a 10' garage door and didn't have to raise/lower the camper as much. One more question. Does anyone have experience with the Bowen slide in camper bed regarding how water tight the storage boxes are on the...
A couple of questions if anyone can help.
1. How difficult is it to remove the camper and reinstall it on your own. Is it possible to use a rolling storage rack of some kind and put the camper inside your garage with a 7' door entry? How much time would it take and are there any special...
Staying under 9' even would be very nice for anyone (me) that spends a lot of time going through drive through restaurants with their 9'0" warning bars.
