I am selling my James Baroud Explorer EVO. It is in excellent condition and has been stored inside since I've owned it. The tent has only been slept in a total of 3 nights. This is a local pick up only, I will not ship. Asking price is $2,850.00.
I am selling my James Baroud RTT. The tent is a hardshell Explorer EVO. It is in excellent condition and has been stored inside since I bought it new. I have only slept in it 3 times. Local pick up (Pennsylvania) only. I may be traveling to the western part of the U.S. and could possibly...
Thank you Joelbert for taking the time to post this information, very helpful indeed. I will be doing the the same thing. The photo on the far left looks a little different than the others. Am I correct? If so, could you please explain.
One problem I encountered was in the mornings when there...
Thank you Dozer Dan. That is helpful. Do you think it would be possible to retrofit my older style with the handles that your newer tent is equipped with. There has to be a way you would think.
Well, Frenchie that's why I asked. With all your experience, I figured you could provide some good insight and that you did. I am new to all of this since I just retired too. I would love to see the country and enjoy life for awhile. I love the west and would like to experience it by just...
Frenchie,
Thank you for this information, sounds like you have a lot of experience concerning this matter. If you don't mind, I would like to ask you another question. My vehicle sets up fairly high and I was thinking of getting another vehicle that is a compact car that gets excellent gas...

Thank you very helpful. How many pounds of pressure are the non cargo struts? Would there be a noticeable difference? Are the old ones easy to take out and the new ones easy to put in? Is it possible to retrofit your tent with the crank/scissor jacks? Lastly, what would be the cost of each...
Thank you for your reply. I am thinking the RTT'S with the crank would have been a better choice. I wonder if I could have mine changed from the cylinder to the crank.
I have the explorer model. Bought it about 2 years ago. I have only used it on one trip but I had to fight with it every time I closed up the tent. Yeah, when you get it close to latching, that is the hardest part for me. I really struggle with it. I wonder if any modifications can be made.
I know Iam getting older, but i find it quite difficult to pull my fiberglass top back down. Seems pretty hard to hold it down while at the same time trying to get it latched. Is anyone else having this problem with the gas cylinders being so stiff on the James Baroud? How about the other roof...
