Upgrade? No, not really. For what I do, this setup is perfect. I don't see the sense in "starting over," per se.
Around the city, about 10-11mpg.
When I'm on the road, 13-15mpg going about 65mph.
The car is generally fully loaded all the time with gear swapped for the season's activities...
Went back to the STT Pros.
At 32% tread, I got 35k out of the MTRs vs the 56k to the STTs.
The STTs did better in CA winter snow than the MTRs, but that is conditional and subjective.
Both did well in sand around Imperial, Joshua and Anza.
Both are comparable in cost these days, so given I...
I've used trash bags before to make minor adjustments when my alignment got knocked out while out (marked my cams).
I invested in the plates so I can make more consistent adjustments to caster relative to my tools and driveway. Takes out some of the guesswork.
MAINTENANCE: DIY Alignment

8MILELAKE Alignment Turn Plates Kit
SUMMARY:
The shop I've been going to for years had a 5-year unlimited alignment policy that I purchased, which more than paid for itself over the life of the policy. When it came to renew...
The frame was taken back as far back to clear the radiator, boxed in, and reinforced. The crash bar was removed.
The "wings" are supported by the body mount brackets.
Bought my valve and Ts off eBay. Can't guarantee they're OEM. Here's some current listings (looks like price went up). The fittings on the heater valve was in a similar condition as the Ts, but less degraded (didn't crack like the Ts). Considering that they're all tied together, it just...
lol thanks.
No updates cuz I haven't done any modding and posts about oil changes are kinda boring ?.
Been out enjoying the car and the great outdoors, but I don't really share those since it's mostly fam pics. ?
I've had two roof racks. A customized OEM rack built by me (sold) and an OCD roof rack (current).
Works out great, as intended. Resolved all the issues I had with 1.0.
ARB air lockers, front and rear.
Thanks for taking the time.
After missing out on spring and summer, it was real nice to be back at it for resort opening day. I was hoping for more snow for a lil snowwheeling, but I'll take it since I get a jump on the season.
Nothing like steak and eggs to get the day started right.

TROUBLESHOOTING & MODIFICATION: LCA Siberian Poly Bushings
SUMMARY:
My last trip out cut my winter season camping and snowboarding short. I developed a really loud, attention getting, backfire-like clunk/clank/bang that affected my feelings of reliability about getting me out and back. As a...
Thanks for the kind words.
Regarding the sub, the way I did it is irreversible.
I separated the cubby from the rear panel by carefully drilling out and cutting the plastic rivets that held it together.
Once separated, I used the cubby as a template/mold for the MDF face and shape for the...
MODIFICATION: Center Diff Lock (Transfer Case)
GOAL:
Lock transfer case at will on 4Hi/4Lo under any gear.
PURPOSE:
Add some functionality to the 4WD system and bring it up to par with 03+ Sequoias. 1st gen Sequoias have open transfer cases and 01-02 can only be locked in 4Lo & L drive, which...
Thanks for the explanation. More or less, what I found on the interwebz. I thought about keeping the "good" ones as trail spares, but on second thought, I'll probably purchase some new ones instead.
Welp, it wasn't a spark plug that was causing an intermittent misfire resulting P0308 code (having the scangauge is really handy, btw).
The culprit, no. 8 coilpack:
Visibly speaking, there are no cracks or whatever and all the terminals were clean.
Followed the advice of those who came...
Gonna have to look into that sensor. I swear I've been feeling a dead spot intermittently and I don't believe I'm imagining it. I'd be cruising along at 35 to 45mph then suddenly feel an instant deceleration then back up again all within 1-2sec. At first, I thought it was just load range E MT...
I used OE bearings, PN 90369-54002.
Personally, I'm not one to cheap out on parts that serve critical functions. Especially true when I'm so hard on the car. The 35s ain't no joke either.
