A few updates for the k20-
The truck had a full fluids change
New rotors pads and shoes
New wheel bearings
Threw some lights on that were taken off from the Silverado.
Getting close to lifting it, only hold up now is funds and time.
As for the lift I’m pushing to do a rough country 4” with...
I think so, it’s much more of a practical approach to camping with your daily driver. I try and go camping as often as I can and with time being a pintch things get on my nerves during setup. With the shell it takes all the setup out of things.
Benefits of the shell:
Weather is not an issue...
Well, it's been a little bit since I've posted. The truck has undergone some changes. I am no longer running with a roof top tent, it was too detrimental to my gas mileage.
I found a shell and put it on for my trip up to Sequoia, i will be posting periodic updates on what i do to the back to...
He swam across and left his rig for the night so that we could get to high ground. We had to wait for the storm to subside and we ended up being able to get close enough to through a coupe tow straps on his truck. The truck had about six inches thick of muck on the floor. Took apart the intake...
Well, for last weekend before i sold the roof-top tent and rack off the Silverado i decided to put it on the K20 for a send off trip. -It didn't go well.
Let me start by saying the truck is fantastic, the more and more i drive it, the more and more i love it. We left Friday evening with about a...
Some photos from last weekend.
We took Sunday and headed down to our favorite local riding spot to open up the season. These photos were taken in McCain Valley OHV area. Not the best place for trucks but fantastic for bikes. The area is filled with single track and great terrain.
I unbolted the factory fog light, tossed it in the trash and bolted up the squadrons with a bit smaller hardware. Super easy!
So the Squadron Pros are linked to my switch pro, and the Squadron Sports are operated on the factory switch. I often drive with the sports on during the day for a...
Nice man! I love these full-size adventure rigs. They make a fantastic platform for traveing, hauling, and living with in general.
I'm sure it will, it seems like you're on the right track thus far! I love the camper shell setup. Getchur self some mang! That F-150 would be styling with a...
Took the k20 for her first shake down run. I put 250 miles down, and 10 of that was in the dirt. The truck road like a prairie schooner, but I was still stoked.
The more and more I drive this truck the more I want to keep it close to stock. This Friday I will be ordering 2” lift springs from...
Yeah, sounds about right. Most of these trucks were workhorses and it shows!
Thanks for the story! Great memories in Squarebody Chevy's, and great memories to be had!
Haha, thanks! I love them both. If it makes you feel better I’m still freeloading on my parents couch ? . That’s the only reason I’m able to have these rigs. Thanks so much for the kudos, I’ll do my best to keep chipping away at her! I think that that’s an achievable dream man, get the...
You weren’t kidding about a drool session! Larry has a thread (after further research, multiple) that is filled with gold. If the 350 ever kicks the bucket or ever shows signs of it I’d love to try and tackle the 5.3 swap to the SM465. I feel like that would be a great project.
Yeah, i had no idea that there was an LS in there! I'm envious of all the places you've taken that thing. I will work on getting setup on CK5 later this week once work and school slow down!
Thank you! Just trying to keep working the endless knot.
